Caite and Kyla Floral Dress Styled for Winter and Spring

If you are itching for some florals, I am styling this new arrival from Caite and Kyla for Winter and Spring

Styling the Briar Dress for Winter

It is interesting how our styles evolve, as we do. I still love florals, even though I am interested in more structured looks, I always have the romantic style of dressing. The ruffles and the colors popped out at me, as I was selecting pieces from the Caite and Kyla Spring line. Blooms of magenta, pink, white and mustard yellow against the orange background had my eyes feasting on these bright colors and longing for some real ones.

Something about the bareness of Winter that saddens me, as I look around and see sparce trees, with bare branches, and not much in the way of color.

So, what is a fashionista to do? Make her own color and brighten up these Winter days!

When I saw this dress, I pictured how I would style it for two seasons. This is always one thing to consider when buying a new garment. Can I wear it multiple seasons?

Winter-

I am wearing it with my teddy bear rust coat, my hubby likes to call it my 70’s jacket, and that does come to mind. However, the rust shade, and the cozy vibes lent itself to this dress rather well. The other color I picked up on for styling in the Winter was the pine green. The leaves of these blooms would be indicated in my Rebecca Minkoff quilted green bag.

My OTK suede rust boots completed the look and continued the leg line from the dress. I like to wear taller boots when the dress may be a bit shorter.

Spring

Easy changes to be made. The dress is a flouncy, flowy dress, and I decided to pair my white strappy sandals for this Spring look. The white round raffia bag gets a ton of use in the warmer months and gives it a more casual vibe.

Since this dress has a bit of a 70’s vibe, I thought I would share a favorite quote from one of my favorite musicians,

Totally fabulous, Jess. I love the colors in this dress and the style. Rust was the perfect choice to pair with it. Also? Janis is right.
