01 Jan Turning Heads Linkup- Santa Brought Me a Teddy Bear Coat!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. We enjoyed ourselves at my moms and it was a bit of family Christmas Chaos, but in a good way! Dogs, kids, hours of opening presents, and lots of great food and family time. One of my gifts is this rust teddy bear coat that I love! I have looked for these coats for awhile and this color, with the larger lapels was so pretty! I love it. It is lighter than some of the faux fur leopard coats I have looked at, perfect for the NC winters.

2019

Hard to believe it is 2019, and that the year has passed so quickly. I hope to share with you my new year’s goals, and also ask that you do a survey to see what types of topics you would be interested in seeing on EDS blog this year. If you missed my post on Working out during the Holidays, have a read!  I know my hubby is planning on getting a spin bike for the house, and I am researching treadmills, as mine went kaput and conked out this year. Running is too hard on my joints, but I enjoy walking and maybe light jogging. I am not a Winter person, so walking in frigid temps is not my favorite.. Having a home gym works better for me.

There are always goals for the blog, personal and professional goals, as well. I will continue to have fun sharing my fashion compilations, as it helps to fulfill my creative side, and push myself as well. Meeting other ladies, who share this love, has been a highlight in fashion blogging for me.

My Outfit

I mentioned Santa brought me this coat, and a little birdie  told me it is from ASOS. Let’s face it, Iv’e been a pretty good girl this year..Hubby has been paying attention to my fashion choices, and i’ll be sharing the gift he chose for me, on the blog soon.

Back to the coat… The nubby texture and rust color is just gorgeous! I love the kind of retro feel it has and pictured myself wearing it with flared denim in the chillier weather.

Who can resist a sweater dress? It is one of my favorite things to wear when the weather gets cold. Here I am wearing a Madewell camel sweater dress with ties at the wrists, a detail that caught my eye. Since it is a mini dress, I paired it with brown patterned tights and Vince Camuto Over the Knee Boots. I purchased the dress on Poshmark, secondhand for $25 shipped!

Not wanting to wear mini dresses? You could easily wear a pair of ponte black leggings are some faux leather leggings under this and wear it like a tunic. Skinny jeans could also be an option and you could wear the OTK boots just as I have shown here.

Pittsburgh

Quick funny story… one of the gifts my hubby gave me was this stemless wine glass  that read ” ITS NOT REALLY DRINKING ALONE IF THE DOG IS HOME.” I LOVED it! so fitting.  Now, the funny part is, he had the gift stored away since July,as it took time to get it in stock. Later, I am looking on Amazon, for my friend Mindy, and showed hubby the same, exact glass! I bought it for her My hubby got such a kick out of that as he searched for awhile, and was so pleased to find such a cute wine glass, only for me to buy it for a friend in a matter of minutes!

We went to PPG place and saw the International Santas from each country, making special note of the Ukrainian and Irish Santas, representing my heritage. My sister wanted to take my niece on the Pittsburgh Incline, which was fun,because I couldnt remember the last time I went on it. It was just great having everyone in one place!
