Spring Into Style: Two Fresh Looks to Try This Season

Ok. It’s not spring yet. Very few birds are out chirping, and it snowed in Charlotte today. That doesn’t mean we can refresh or add a few pieces to our upcoming Spring looks.

First, let me say, thank you for sticking around! I haven’t gotten to the blog as much this month, as I have had some medical issues I have been dealing with and after our trip, I will be back in PT. If you have GI issues, you know what a daily stress that can be. But here we are.

Let’s talk fashion!!

A Neutral Look in Cream and Black

You might have heard the term, “Elevated casual”. Those of us that work from home, know it’s meaning. Casual yet, put together. Something adds to the look.

Here I am sharing with you a Clara Sunwoo top in cream and black as my eye was drawn to the design. I am wearing black pocket pants, wide leg, that are also Clara Sunwoo. I anticipate I will be wearing this on the plane and taking this look with me to England and Scotland when we go in April. No wrinkle, and I can pair the pants with anything. They are just as comfortable as loungewear, but the drape, material and wider leg make it an elevated look. Going out? Add a small heel and any colored bag!

I love this combination as it seems to classy and so versatile. The print I am wearing comes in a longer sleeved topi f that is what you prefer.

We are headed to England, the Cotswolds and Scotland in mid-April, so Clara Sunwoo will certainly be my travel buddy! I am planning on taking much of the spring looks -wrinkle free and easy to wear. I’ll write a post about how i pack once carryon for 10 days. I did it for Italy and Portugal, so it can be done!

Colorful Top for those Grey Days

You know those winter months. January and February can be cold, grey and bare. Now take out this fabulous watercolor top and bring out those white jeans! You will certainly stand out in a sea of black and grey ( if you were to wear this out and about).

I styled this watercolor top with some Kut from the Kloth white jeans that I bought on Poshmark for $20 shipped. The red slingback block heels are the additional color I added to the look. You have so many colors to chose from, you can even keep the rest of the pieces neutral as the top is the star of the show. I added a nudish pink bag by Teddy Blake to add another complimentary color. If I was to keep it all neutral, I would wear my white sandals, and carry my white bucket bag. Just sberal ways to stybbrousers and also add those same colors in shoes. That’s if your goal is BIG BOLD color. it depends on your style.

Are you more of a neutral gal, like the first outfit, or a colorful girl like the second look? Or are you both?

I tend to enjoy wearing both neutrals and color depending upon my mood.

Have a great day!

Jess xx

Oh my, that’s a perfect time to go to the UK! The Cotswolds are gorgeous! We are going at the end of April, to the south that is. I hope your medical issues will not bother you then. Beautiful tops perfect to wear then!

Give me all the color!! And that watercolor top is right up my alley. I like the details at the waist. Really showcases your great figure. And wrinkle-free? Yes, please. I am ready to break up with my iron. Discovered some ponte pants in my closet – with the tag on – and I think they may go with me on our Alaskan cruise. Wrinkle-free!!
Cannot wait to read about your trip and see pictures of all you see and do. My daughter just got an updated Ancestry.com report on my mother’s side of the family and where we have always thought we were predominantly English, we are now apparently more French and Swiss. With a lot of Irish and Scottish thrown in. I would like to return to Europe at least one more time to visit Great Britain, Ireland, Scotland and swing through Switzerland. Need to start saving our pennies!

Ah, I’m so jealous of your trip! It will be amazing. I am not one for neutrals, but this top’s print takes it up a notch from neutral to wow! Clara Sunwoo will be perfect for traveling. The colorful top is gorgeous and just pops against the white jeans. Have a fantastic weekend, Jess!
