Time for a Little Leopard- Trending Now: Jacquard

Hello Ladies!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. As October draws near, I look forward to the Fall festivities in the area, Octoberfests … As you know I am a wine lover , but in Charlotte, we have had quite a few breweries pop up, so I will “try” some beers and see if I can find one I like ! Hubby bought this Pumpkin Shanty and it was a bit fruity which I seem to go for with beer, light and fruity. What fall activities are you look forward to?  Anyhow, on the fashion front, I have been seeing this trend popping up everywhere: Jacquard. Purses, shoes, skirts, embellished tops, are making their way to retailers, and I love it!

I have a few pieces in my closet and really do love the richness and opulence of this material. I was also in the mood for some leopard print today. This skirt from Ann Taylor, has been a great mainstay in my closet, as we know leopard to be a neutral and this can be worn many different ways throughout Fall and Winter. Mixing patterns, neutral looks, or bright colors paired with this skirt would certainly transition to Fall nicely.  I typically would wear this a little later in the season, as it is still warm here, and jacquard is a slightly heavier material. But, let’s face it, I am impatient!

I paired this with a teal blue blouse, vintage teal blue necklace and earrings, and added a mix of rich patterns with my LV Speedy and leopard print. These chocolate colored pointed block heels finish off the look. I love the ankle strap of this shoe as well as the comfort!

I am in the market for a low block heel leopard bootie for Fall as well. Help me find some!

Here are a few other jacquard items I love for Fall:

Jess, I really like this look. Your blouse fits right into the Pantone Fall color Lush Meadow and the side tie bow and statement necklace are perfect embellishments. Leopard print is everywhere in various forms and looks stunning with the green top. Love the shoes and bag. You look lovely. – Amy

I love animal prints and jacquard is a wonderful textured element that i am glad is on trend. I adored this capsule , Angie put together with Leopard and the pinks and chambray blue. I hope to style a few looks using it as inspiration..http://youlookfab.com/2016/09/09/a-mix-and-match-capsule-for-fall/

I love this outfit, Jess! I’ve always really liked jacquard but whenever I’ve tried things on (mainly trousers) I’ve felt I looked like a sofa lol! And you know I love me some animal print. You look gorgeous, it’s an outfit perfect for you!
