Turning Heads Linkup-Olive Ruffled Jacket, Burgundy Dress with Jodie

Hello friends!

It is such a busy time of year! I am in charge of buying the gifts and I am doing most of my shopping online as always.  We had a good time working on Christmas pictures with the puppies in their Santa suits .We are giving some framed photos as gifts. I am getting excited about seeing my mom and family in Pittsburgh, as we are going there for Christmas. Today I am sharing my outfit styled with burgundy and olive. Jodie, from JTouchofstyle and I collaborated to bring you looks paired with burgundy. See her fashion interview here.

We decided to dress in burgundy with a color mix of our choice. . Jodie, her mom and stepmom all styled burgundy with a different color. Stop by her blog to see more pics and just how versatile a color it is as well as great close up pics of the accessories and details that really compliment the outfits!

Love how they mixed it with different colors and how she styled burgundy in a different article of clothing.I decided today to mix it with olive as  you know, i just love the rich, saturated shades of the fall season. I have had this boiled wool jacket for several years now, and love the ruffled detail. I love sweater dresses as you know, because they are great to layer with jackets, or tops underneath, and of course, because  of the comfort factor.

These booties are new! I have been on a shoe-bootie craze over the past couple of months! I had been looking for an olive pair of boots and wanted a pair with a low heel. These are Franco Sarto and I love the detailed stitching on the side and 1.5 inch heel.

Thanksgiving approaches and it always has me reflecting on what I am most Grateful. I am always grateful for my little family, my puppies Gibby and Truffles. They make me smile everyday. My husband has stuck with me through all of trials and tough times with my illness. I am grateful.  My family, mom. my 2 brothers and sister are all close and I feel very lucky. I feel quite fortunate and grateful that I am making strides with my illness, as I continue to work on improving my health. Grateful to have found so many  lovely blogger friends and ladies who enjoy fashion!

I bought these  new tortoiseshell cat eye glasses from Warby Parker in their new Leith Clark collection. They are made for narrow faces, and have gold shanks with a floral filagree.

Wishing you a Wonderful and Blessed Thanksgiving!

I really like these colours together. The boots are lovely. I’ve been looking to add more olive, forest green and burgundy to my wardrobe lately. I bought a gorgeous dark green top with lace sleeves on sale at the weekend – I thought of you when I saw it!

Great idea to wear a scarf with ruffles to tune them down. You made me regret that I didn’t buy the leather jasket that had a similar cut like your wool jacket. I love(d) the edginess of the zipper with ruffles, I did not order the jacket as I am not a ruffle kind of gal. But the styling you showed makes them even wearable for a ruffle hater. LOL.
