27 Sep Turning Heads #Linkup- Styling a Karina Paisley Wrap Dress with a Military Jacket and Red Block Heels
Hard to believe September is coming to a close. However, here in NC it generally means a bit cooler temps in Oct to look forward to. How was your weekend? Today I was in the mood to style one of my Karina dresses for Fall and I chose this orange-red-olive-coblalt-yellow Paisley wrap dress as my foundation. Paisley, not floral 🙂 The bright colors culminating in a beautiful print really caught my eye and I would be styling this throughout the fall with boots, booties and layers. I did try a jersey brown long sleeve top under the dress, but it ended up a bit bulky, and I decided to go for a jacket instead. Wrap dresses, I find are flattering on every figure, and I do love the ease of it.. a pin is necessary on the lower half., especially during windy fall days! I love a military look and i am looking for a pair of olive booties! …
What I love about this LOFT military jacket are the brass buttons and of course, the raw edges. I also love the shape, more of an hourglass, as opposed to a boxy jacket. There are so many colors I love for Fall, I also paired the look with my Hayden Harnett NYC leather hobo in olive. Love the rich colors. I am wearing bronze jewelry we bought when on a trip to Savannah, Georgia about 6 years ago. I love to buy jewelry from artisans when I am traveling; it’s a great memory each time I wear it, and it is unique. I had to take these long bronze earrings out for the season, as well as my bronze leaf necklace. Yes, I was in the mood for a funky manicure. alternating gold and rust colors 🙂
