Turning Heads #Linkup : Thanksgiving outfit Wearing a Blanket Scarf

IMG_9836

Hello ladies!

Happy #Turningheadstuesday ! Are you all planning for the Holidays? This year we go to my sisters and will be celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday with her. We bring the pumpkin pie and wine. Lots of memories with Thanksgiving. Usually growing up it was the big table, the little table, lots of food,  getting tired, and football. Hearing my dad during the Steelers Game a few blocks down the street, Beautiful fall weather. Food. More food.

So, I look forward to this Holiday as I also signifies the week we put up the Christmas tree Makes me think of what I am grateful for. Sometimes it is the simple things, I first think of my family and my pups There is more to discuss as I am thankful for many things in life. You all know I have a chronic condition, but 8 years ago, my life was laying on the couch, and taking the pups out to go .Wake up and repeat. So lets say that things are different now, as there is a difference between existing and Living!  I am grateful for the support I get from my family, husband, friends like you all. I am grateful for the many blessings I do have in life . I could go on…

For now, on to my outfit. I have plans  to wear this as my Thanksgiving outfit, as I was taken in by this trend, the blanket scarf Usually, I am not necessarily a trend girl, but if it is something I like, that happens to be a trend, then I will buy it.   Besides, all of the Peer Pressure, I had to succumb! Lets face it the WORD “BLANKET” is involved!! Wearing a version of a blanket out in public is just “my kind of heaven!”  When I start wearing fuzzy slippers  and my hair turban out in public, now that is when you should worry!   I hope to style this more ways in the future, as I know there are lots of ways to wear these scarves.

The gold skirt I have had for years, as I bought it for one Christmas to wear, from Banana Republic, but have loved the gold and mustard color and found it versatile. I am also wearing a Banana Republic camel cashmere sweater, the scarf being the piece that adds color and interest to the look. I added my LV Damier Bag with this and am craving a new bag, so maybe Santapaws will surprise me ( we say ‘SantaPaws” as we don’t have children, but rather my 2 pups). I love Balenciaga, YSL, and LV’s Epi bags, but love Rebecca Minkoff, and her bags are a bit more “budget friendly” especially for this time of year.

I just love the way you uniquely styled your blanket scarf around the shoulders and with the gorgeous pin. It reminds me of the retro around-the-shoulders mink stole look, but you’ve put your own colorful, chic, and modern signature on the look! Really a beautiful and memorable Thanksgiving outfit. Thanks so much to you for giving such fabulous style inspiration!
