Turning Heads #linkup: Trending Now-Going Gray

IMG_9861

Hello Ladies

Welcome to #turningheads Tuesday!

Ha! Got ya! Didn’t I? You ladies know me by now. Would I be the one to go gray ? I know many ladies  that look great with gray or white hair, but my long hair and pale complexion just wouldn’t cut it! My sister and I reminisced about our next door neighbor, when we were very young, going next door and having her answer the door, only to see a very old woman with stringy, long gray hair. As small kids, she scared us, and we were convinced she was a witch! Now, let me just say that this post today is about me wearing shades of gray. I have seen this as a color that has been quite popular this season, and I always loved various grey tones, with a fondness for charcoal grey.

I can not beleive it is Dec 1st already, I do all of my shopping on-line and have just stocking stuffers to get. Usually I can be stumped on stuffers, but my hubby has been ordering from Blue Apron, a service which sends food and amazing recipie cards with education about the herbs, foods, etc in glossy pictures. He has been making some gourmet meals! So I am heading to the kitchen isle at Target to see what gadgets I can put in there, along with chocolate and wine, those are a given . Other than that it is a matter of decorating and wrapping.

I have been wearing a fair amount of fall tones as of late, browns, rust, gold, mustard, so I decided to change it up a bit with this look today. I am wearing a Banana Republic cashmere gray sweater with my super soft denim knit leggings gifted to me by  by Fabrizio Gianni. I love the slim fit and the soft, comfortable feel to these jeans. I wanted to add some pattern to the mix, so I styled this look with my Banana Republic Snow Leopard shrug, my new Seychelle suede grey booties ( I mentioned I am obsessing over boots lately), and a touch of texture with my JJ winters clutch. So black and grey, was my inspiration for today.

Outfit Details: Snow grey leopard shrug: Banana Republic,( like this one, and this) Grey sweater: ,)(like this grey one)  Jeggings c/o Fabrizio Gianni, new Booties by Seychelle, ( sim) clutch: JJ Winters

Earrings: Vintage from Etsy

I want to thank you for the great turn out last week! 170 linkups, lets just say, you kept me busy! I love looking at your outfits.

I really like the change of colours on you Jess. And great minds think alike – I too have done an outfit using some grey today! Love the softness of the cashmere and ooooh that snow leopard shrug is just perfect with the outfit. Gives it just the right amount of pattern and shows off your very trim figure. And as always such lovely details – the nail colour for one and then what I’ve dubbed the ‘Jess Signature’ – a gorgeous necklace!

Although I applaud and respect the women who have chosen to go grey, I would never because I think it instantly ages you by at least 10 years. I don’t have a problem coloring my hair. I actually really enjoy visiting my hair dresser who I’ve known for over 15 years. We have great conversations. Your outfit is fabulous! Love the shrug and boots. I am finding more and more grey accumulating in my closet. I must really be drawn to this color!

I think the grey outfit looks great with your red hair! I’m not sure how I would look with grey hair, I think I would rather that it go white.
