Whew!
I know that was a long title ladies, but there is a lot going on today! I host the weekly #Turningheadstuesday #linkup in which I enjoy seeing all of your outfits each week. I am also sharing with you today a review of the Brookline Gladiator sandal from Jambu, a company I had collaborated with recently, and with whom I reviewed the Sugar Sandal. If you missed it, read that review HERE. The Sugar Gladiator has a lower profile than the Brookline, the top straps at the ankle, whereas the Brookline hits higher up on the leg, accentuating the calves. I loved the Pewter color as metallics are trending right now, not my complete reason for choosing it. I felt they had many possibilities in my wardrobe. I love pinks, blush, on trend pastel tones, as well as olives, and other earthy tones. Petwer would look great with all of these choices. I also love the profile of the Brookline with flared jeans. What are the two words however, when one may be considering this shoe that one should think of:? MEMORY FOAM. Yes! Jambu has a memory foam footbed which is one of the best qualities of the shoes, they are pure comfort.
The Brookline is another winner from Jambu Footwear, and has partially recycled rubber outsole, that provides me with stability, which i need if standing. Years ago, when I first was diagnosed with EDS, I could only wear sneakers! If I only knew about these then. They truly have the comfort, cushion and stability of a sneaker but with style! Remember in the 80s, the ladies wearing white socks and sneakers with their dresses and skirts to walk around town, only later to put on their dress shoes? Jambu makes other styles that can make walking around the town easy, and stylish.
Today I decided to share with you two looks I styled with the Petwer Brookline Gladiator sandals. One look, a more casual look, yet polished, is with my, ( I supposed) signature lace top in blush, buttoned down with a leather trimmed collar and sleeves, under a light grey blazer, rose gold rope necklace and Citizens of Humanity grey denim. The outfit is accented by the dark pewter shoes and the light fog grey quilted Rebecca Minkoff bag. Wear this to lunch with a friend, or out and about.
My second look, a bit dressier, wanted to highlight the METALLIC TREND. The Banana Republic shell has wonderful texture, worn with the black chiffon a line shirt. The pewter theme is repeated in the earrings and necklace in a slate grey/pewter. Typically, I would wear this with a bright colored blazer or white blazer as black is somewhat stark against my skin, however it was almost 88 degrees, so one will have to imagine ( the blazer).
The look is pretty classic, then in the word of chef Emeril Lagasse, “BAM!” the sandals give it a funky, unexpected and edgy vibe. 🙂
Outfit details, Look 1: Blazer-Target, Blouse: Ann Taylor, Jeans: Citizens of Humanity, Balenciaga Bag, Jambu Brookline Pewter sandals c/o Jambu * C/o gifted by Jambu. The opinions in this review are that of my own.
Look 2: Banana Republic; textured shell, Necklace and earrings: Charming Charlie, Purse: Rebecca Minkoff, Skirt: Ann Taylor, Shoes: c/o Jambu, Bracelet: Silver mesh-c/o Chaos NY

May 30, 2019 at 1:29 amI love what you wear! It’s so fun and eye-catching! Perfect casual chic look. You can also wear kim kardashian green jacket on this outfit. It will look great on you. The different and the elegance in this army style outfit is very much prominent as this is something very remarkable in the new collection.

May 3, 2016 at 1:38 amComfort is a must in shoes! I can’t understand people who wear uncomfortable shoes (maybe they drive everywhere and never walk?). And shoes that work with many outfits, that’s a dream come true.
