Hello Ladies! Happy Turning Heads Tuesday!

It was one of those lazy summer days. One of those days I wanted to sleep in a bit, these were taken on  Sunday. Decided to go into Uptown, which must be a special day, as we don’t often hang out as much in the city, unless we are going to a musical, out for a special dinner etc. We, like many people, stay in our area, of favorite places, but like to venture out and explore new places as well. Today we went into Uptown and went to a place for brunch, called The Dandelion Market.

A rustic looking restaurant, with all dark wood inside, looked like it could have been built from an old church, with its stained glass windows and pew like long benches in the center of the place. It could have been a warehouse, don’t know, didn’t inquire. We just sat in our cushy booth, and looked over the menu as it has been a while since we went to Sunday Brunch.

I always look for the belinis, martinis, any -ini that I can first try. I tried their Peach Belini, which was quite refreshing prior to my mushroom, herb and cheese quiche breakfast with fruit. I truly eat healthy, and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables this time of year.

We ventured out to “uptown” which we were told, was the proper terminology for this center of town, as opposed to Pittsburgh’s ” Downtown” or more aptly called ” Dahntahn” if you spoke Pittsburghese. It was such a hot day, one where one’s clothing stuck to one’s body, and no amount of curling one;s hair mattered as it was to turn flat or sweaty, which ever way one looked at it, I felt it was best put up in a ponytail. I want to do several looks as updos, as I love the chignon as well.

This white lace dress from Mango bought on Poshmark, is a favorite, with its delicate pattern and light material, it was just right for the day, as right as one could be in 97 degree heat, other than one’s birthday suit,  that not being legal, was certainly out of the question!! haha ha! I paired it with my favorite clay colored pointed flats from J Crew, a pink toned Balenciaga bag, and a peach/pink statement necklace.
