Luck of the Irish and Turning Heads Tuesday Link Up

Hello Ladies

Happy St Patrick’s Day! I hope I am lucky in presenting you my first link up. I am calling it Turning Heads Tuesday, and have the button available for you to put on your link up page  to link back or as a widget.

Do you know I am Irish? My ancestry that is.  What gave it away? The red locks, green eyes, fair skin? Well, there are some misconceptions to being Irish I must dispell once and for all!

  • I actually do not like beer. As you all know, I am a wine drinker, martini drinker, just not beer.I never acquired a taste for it, and Coors Light in college doesn’t count.
  • There is much  more to Irish cooking than boiled potatoes. One of my favorites growing up was Soda bread.
  • There is not pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. I have seen numerous rainbows in my time, and believe me, if there were I would be a very well to do woman!
  • Four leaf clovers have nothing to do with luck! So if you find one, and get lucky, it is merely a coincidence.

I wanted to wear my green to celebrate the day, and my leopard print jacquard skirt which reminded me of 4 leaf clovers ! 🙂

Happy St . Patrick’s Day!! (Sorry , I am very late…) your Irish style outfit is very pretty! The green top and brooch go perfect together and, yes, the print of your skirt recall the four-leaf clover…by the way… I agree, gaining money is not related to it!! ( otherwise me too would be rich !!)

Jess this is brilliant that you’re hosting a link party – well done and thank you for inviting me!!

You know how envious I am of your stunning hair, if I could only pick it up and plonk it on my head I’d be so happy…!! Funnily enough I’ve often been asked if I’m of Irish descent (I’m not), and that was with my natural brunette colour. I think it’s the freckles ;))

Jess, thank you for the reminder about your new link up party. Excellent St. Patrick’s Day attire. I’ve never mixed my green with leopard print, but you aure made this look beautiful.
But I’m one one believes in the pot of gold at the end of the rainbwo, I just think its how you imagine or what you think of as gold. As for a good life, healthy life, positive outlook, loving friends and family, if they’re waiting for you at the end of the rainbow, well there’s that pot of gold. Same thought with the four leaf clover. Lucky any of us who have health, friends, family, and a love for life.

So true friend, I think i was thinking either too literaly or at face value. I am fortunate to have a loving family, puppies and great hubby. So true!
Glad you like the look! I think I look of leopard as almost a neutral that it can be paired with many colors. Thank you again! xx

So happy to be part of your first Linkup Jess! You look charming in green with your gorgeous red hair!!!
I teach Irish and Scottish Country dances. Did you know St. Patrick was born in Scotland? (Although, it wasn’t called Scotland at the time.) He was captured and sold into slavery to Ireland about age 16 and escaped 6 years later.
