28 Jul Zenni Optical Collaboration- What’s in My Beach/Pool Tote?
Hello Ladies! ( and gents)
I was very happy for this collaboration to come to fruition, as I needed a new pair of prescription glasses, and Zenni Optical was interested in working with me. In the future, I plan on doing several posts on glasses, as I have a collection at this point, but today wanted to share with you, a timely topic: What I have in my Beach/Pool Tote It was very hot at the beach in temps in the high 90s, just as it will be back here in the Lake Norman area this week. The weekend will climb to 100, So, what’s a person to do? Either go to the beach or to the pool!
I am a very light packer, when it comes to vacation, as why wear different clothes every day, especially when a large portion of the day is spent at the beach. When it comes to the pool and the beach there are certain necessities I must have. Zenni Optical gifted me a pair of my choice of sunglasses ( prescription) and I also received a pair of my choice of glasses with progressive lenses. As you may know, I have several pair of Zenni sunglasses I bought before this collaboration. Both are cat-eye. I am in love with this shape, as it fits my face and style. The timing was perfect, so I chose a pair of brown cateye-vintage style progressive lens glasses, and these very stylish tortoiseshell retro sunglasses. I wanted the sunglasses to be larger than what I normally wear, but not too big that they overtake my face!
Zenni Optical is a very easy way to purchase glasses, which is the reason I did so before this collaboration. I found going to retailers to be quite expensive for one pair, if one was looking to add progressive lenses to the cost, it would usually mean hundreds of additional dollars. There are a variety to choose from, and with summer here, Zenni is also looking at trends. Mirrored sunglasses are a big trend this year and one can order any frame this way. Clear frames are also hot as an on trend look, here is one example of what they offer. Rounded frames are offered if one favors this look for summer. One just needs his/hers prescription and PD ( pupilary distance) measurement to make the purchase.
I have always loved the ocean, and between the black hat, and Zenni’s sunglasses, and floral suit, I felt pretty stylish out on that beach! A few years ago I made the mistake of wearing my glasses in the ocean, thinking I wouldn’t be going out far, and they would remain on my face. I do like to see what is in front of me! Sadly enough, a big wave came, knocked them off my face, which let me to think there was some stylish crab in the sand wearing my Zenni sunglasses. So, this year, as much as I wanted to try and see what was in the water, I decided to keep my sunglasses on, at shore and enjoy the beautiful view of the tides coming in.
What I brought in this cute blue striped ZARA tote to the beach and to the pool this summer:
- The Zara beach tote has a separate compartment that attaches to the handle. I put my car keys, phone Zenni Eyeglasses n this compartment.
- My phone. There was cell service a the beach, and the only platform I used on vacation was INSTAGRAM. Follow me now!
- Some SPF 50 Sunscreen, as if I don’t use it I burn!
- 4 bottled waters
- Kindle to read “The Girl on the Train”
- Striped beach towel.
I wore my new Zenni retro sunglasses to the beach. I would carry the same items to our pool, but perhaps take a “Vogue” or “Instyle” magazine to read.
Here are my frames from Zenni for this collaboration:
Zara Beach tote, Anthropologie green top, Loft patterned shorts, Clarks sandals
** 2 pairs of prescription glasses were gifted to me by Zenni Optical. The opinions are that of my own, and represent my style.***
