12 Dec All Day Christmas Shopping -Helping Your Foot Pain with Kuru Footwear
If you have foot pain you have been dealing with, let me introduce you to a shoe company that addresses such issues, Kuru Footwear.
Especially if you are running around like a nut for Christmas. (We all do at some point!)
The Atom Women’s Sneaker
Well, you don’t often see me in loungewear, but with my PT appointments, and my walking now, this would be something I would wear.
With all of the “running around” over the Holidays, whether it is spending hours at a mall, running errands in preparation of guests, doing grocery shopping, you will want to do so with comfort and certainly no pain.
My brothers are prone to getting tendonitis from running, and I have high arches, and some heel pain. My mom has never found “THE” pair of shoes that fit best on her. I told her, her feet are that unique!
My husband has flat feet, so he would wear a different sneaker to meet his needs. The website also addresses nurses, healthcare, and other jobs in which people are on their feet all day. (My sister works at Costco, and I couldn’t stand on those concrete floors all day!)
The reality is though, that women go to “comfort brands” most often, never wanting to see another stiletto, wedge, or higher heel again.
It is more though, than just comfort, KURU is addressing a certain foot problem and you can find specifically what shoes work best for what foot ailment on the website.
I was gifted these sneakers, The Atom, which can be worn for many different foot issues, but I wanted to see how they helped with heel pain.
I like that there is a slip-on area, with more padding toward the ankle. It is like they are being cupped and cradled.
Details. The Atom comes in a multitude of colors, (8 colorways) and I went with black and a light pink/black base.
The Atom comes with the comfort of KURUSOLE, which helps to hug your heel, and KURUCLOUD, which is the midsole.
I did test them out on the treadmill, and they seemed supportive, especially at the heel. They are quite a light shoe and run true to size. I always size up with my sneakers as I like to wear a sock, so I went with an 8.5 (up half size)
The cushioning seemed rather good, at least equate able with my Asic Sneakers I was wearing to run on the treadmill. The insoles mold to your foot shape directed my your body heat.
I also like that you can ship by activities and careers. I think they would be especially great for those on their feet all day, such as hospital workers.

Holiday Happenings
It’s hard to believe just 13 days until Christmas. We are hosting Christmas Eve- Eve, and my brother and sister in law are hosting Christmas Eve and Christmas day. We are respnsible for Christmas Brunch at their house. Costco here we come!!
I am looking forward to the hot tub for sure- as the heat and hot water, melt the pain away for the time being. This weekend past, we went to a party for making our own cookies and an ornament exchange. Lots of fun. I made my mom’s famous Molasses Cookies, oh so good, especially with milk or tea. We ended up taking the variety of cookies home and I will freeze some.
Sunday was the Old Meck Christmas Market, which was set up like a German Market, with lights, beers, ciders, hot cocoa, food, music, and a marketplace. Charlotte has had some great events to really get in the spirit of Christmas.
Had so much fun baking a ton of cookies with my mom, brother and sister in law.
My Santa table is up! More decor pictures to come!

Posted at 18:19h, 14 DecemberI love those trainers, they sound fantastic! I’ve had all sorts of problems with my feet. I’m very flat footed so tend to over pronate, which can cause knee pain. For running I wear trainers with motion control to prevent my feet collapsing inwards. Getting a gait analysis was a game changer!

Posted at 07:04h, 13 DecemberThis is a brand I’m not familiar with so thanks for the info. I’m always on the hunt for a good shoe because of so many foot issues I have. I am finding that I love wearing sneakers – so comfortable and easy to run around in. Love the outfit Jess!
The cookies look good too – I am hoping to get some baking done next week.

Posted at 21:31h, 12 DecemberThis sounds like a great pair of shoes! I have foot pain these days because of what I did two years ago so definitely need to look at Kuru to see if they have something for me. The days have been a blur for sure with so many events going on. We are just trying to embrace and soak it all in. Ooo and did you save me some cookies?! 🙂
