18 Feb Banana Republic Mad Men Collection Tweed Jacket-Vintage Inspiration
Hello Ladies!
Your wish is my command! I mentioned more blue, and here you have it. I am slowly adding more to my wardrobe to spring, and even recently bought a cobalt blazer to wear then. I have no certain explanation for why I don’t have as much blue in my wardrobe as other colors, I just began with adding more of the rusts, greens, pinks, burgundy families and have a spattering of blue here and there. Samantha mentioned cobalt and I do have a top or two for summer, remembering wearing it and liking how the shade looked. I usually assess about this time of year, my spring clothes and see what I should add to the wardrobe. Tops, blazers are first on the list.
Now in regard to today’s outfit, I loved this vintage inspired cropped jacket with the pockets outlined in velvet. This was from the Mad Men collection at Banana Republic. Mad Men, you say? I am there! I love the light blue tweed, and of course had to adorn it with a rose quartz colored vintage brooch from Etsy. Mostly a monochromatic look broken up by the grey tights and grey bow flats by J Crew. The teal blue blouse with the pussybow, worn with the teal A-line skirt would make me look like a secretary, so the jacket ala Mad Men was just what was needed for extra flair and personality.
Tiffany Blue drop earrings with bows adorn my ears and my mettalic blue polish lasts one more day. My hair is in need of some TLC, so I am going to deep condition it over the weekend. I hope you enjoy the weekend and make the most out of it!
With me, there may be a Vineyard involved. 🙂

Posted at 12:42h, 18 FebruaryOMG Jess, I was just thinking this morning of putting together a blue outfit inspired by Samantha!!! This is the part of our community which I adore the most, being openly inspired by each other and unafraid to give credit where credit is due, an aspect often sorely lacking in the workplace of the “real world” 🙂
Onto your outfit, at first sight, it was your blazer which caught my attention and then I realised your skirt had pockets. Pockets!! You had me at pockets.

Posted at 11:28h, 18 FebruaryThis is so pretty Jess.
I am LOVING those patterned tights…but of course you know that!
The colour of your nails and the watch face really add something to this look….an extra punch of colour.
These petrol, teals and peacock tones look great on you…not to mention that fab lip colour!
Beautiful.
