Beauty Products I am Loving This Summer

Happy Friday!

Today I thought I would talk about some of my favorite beauty products. You know, the glitz, the glamour.

It beats talking about the difficult time I have been having titrating off one of my medications. The drug companies don’t make dosages small enough to titrate, so you end up cutting everything in 4ths or having to go to a liquid solution. Even with going from 12.5 mg to 10, I have had severe headaches, sleepless nights, sweating, increased muscle pain and anxiety. But I am going to continue.. we will see.

Let’s discuss something more fun, like beauty products and hair care! I What do you say?

Remington Hot Rollers I had Remington curlers for years, but recently I saw them spark and it was “bye-bye” for that particular set. I love the brand, and wanted various sizes of rollers, to create different curls. I have a lot of hair, but it is fine. This set has been great, and I bought it from Amazon, for $20! The curls are just as good as my last set that ran double. I will do my makeup while the curls are in, so time is about the same if I were to use a curling iron, and then have to do my makeup. It’s a great deal! I will say, in the heat, the curls last a bit longer than my curling iron.

Kerastase Oil- Speaking of hair, this oil is key to provide my hair with conditioning and nourishment. My hair can get dry, and because I do like to be outside a lot in the summer, this oil is something that was recommended by my hairdresser and I have been using for years. I put two pumps on the ends of my hair.

Kenra Shampoo-this shampoo is sulfate-free and they make my hair soft! I go to Beauty Brands twice a year when they have Liter sales! Usually, they would be close to $35-50 a litter, and with the sale, they are $20. My hubby and I stock up and will buy enough for the year. I have also linked it here with the conditioner from Amazon for a good price.

I love the way my stylist does my hair, and I’ve got a lot of white, so I have help but have been just browsing hairstyles for the future. I am a chicken when it comes to cuts as my hair is fine and there are only so many looks, with length, that looks good. Just because you like the style on someone doesn’t mean I’d love it on me. You have to consider face shape. So, I’ve been browsing, and came across this article on Instyle, talking about the LOB ( or Long Bob) as being THE cut for the summer. I like the look of a long, angled bob, not short, but more mid-length. So, perhaps in the future.. you never know.

City Beauty- I have been trying some of their new products and love what they are doing for me. I just got the Invisicrepe to try, so I will have to review that at a later date. The only crepey skin I have now is a bit on my chest, but I will give it a try and see if it makes a difference, stay tuned! I love the red shade and plumping action the lip gloss has on my lips and with continued use, the plumpness stays! Not to mention it looks natural, not like Daffy Duck! The Ageless Moisturizing Cream is lessening fine lines on my forehead and also has a light consistency which I love. It smells wonderful too!

Go Pure- I love the trio of their Retinol Serum, Vit C serum and Hyluronic Acid. The tone is my skin is even and I have noticed fine lines in my forehead lessening. Plus, the price is nice! USE CODE EDS10 for 10% off products.

Lancome Lift Foundation– I love this foundation. It blends with my skin so well and leaves it a bit dewy. Not shiny, dewy. According to their product page, It’s formulated with innovative Micro-Lift™ technology with pure vitamin E to immediately smooth skin. In an instant, lines virtually disappear and your skin radiates seamless beauty.”

I love these vintage beauty items. The gold fillagree trey was given to my by my sis in law, and I have also seen them on Etsy. I picked up this gold vintage mirror at a vintage shop.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Jess xx
