23 Nov Being Grateful and Black Friday Sales for You
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I know one of our family traditions was to go around the table at Thanksgiving and say what we were thankful for. I know it is a tradition some families do, although I don’t think gratitude needs to be saved for a special Holiday. As I reflect, I am so very grateful for many things in my life. Since it is Black Friday, and I am thankful for my lovely readers, I want to share some of the on-line sales.
Dear readers, first, let me say how grateful I am for you! My blog is almost 5 years old, and although I am not thrilled to have EDS, it was a catalyst for me to start this blog. I needed an outlet, a distraction or diversion from pain, and I decided then to do a Fashion blog. I love fashion and connecting with my readers, other bloggers. Having a sense of community in this way really uplifts me, knowing that I have friends in the blogosphere that I would love to meet in real life.
Connecting with women at midlife is also important to me. Sometimes just talking about a certain subject can help. It can certainly make you feel as if you are not alone. So again, I appreciate your comments and input on my blog, and I hope to continue to bring you fun, fashionable, and inspiring posts!
Even though my own family is small, ( hubby and 2 shih tzus- Gibson and Truffles) I adore them. We have been together for 20 yrs and hubby has been with me in sickness and in health. My family is close, I miss my Dad, but we all stay in touch. I have 2 brothers and a sister and now a new little nephew-Aedan. I am very grateful for everyone in my family and I love my puppies more than anything in the world.
I have spoken about my health in my last post- How do you Challenge Yourself. I am grateful that I have made positive strides in the last 10 years, going from barely mobile, to functioning better with some down days. I have had some tough health days lately, but I try and remember to keep things in perspective. With any condition, there are going to be flares and down days. I am very grateful I have a trusting and good relationship with my doctor, who has helped me get to this place in my life.
The Small Things
There are so many small things in life that I am grateful for, those things are the icing on the “cake of life”. Ok, that was cheesy, but you know what I mean. I do try and live in the moment, and appreciate the little things, I wrote about it HERE
So, again, thank you my readers for enjoying Elegantly Dressed and Stylish. I am thankful that you stop by and enjoy my writing and photography, it does mean alot to me.
Now, to the sales. I have rounded up some big sales for you. Happy Shopping!
Let me say, I went out one Black Friday with my hubby and I just didn’t like the feeling of people being rude, pushing, shoving, and for what? Nothing is that important. I want to enjoy the season, and the feeling it brings, so we look forward to staying at home, doing some shopping, and putting up our tree and decorations. I love to play Holiday music while decorating the house and reminiscing over our ornaments.
