07 Jul Birthdays- Gibby and Mine
We will soon be headed to Savannah, GA for a summer vacation. Yes, we are headed to a place hotter than Charlotte! We are planning on going to Tybee Beach and will be staying in the Historic District, walking distance to many restaurants and things to do. We found a dog-friendly place, so we will be bringing our buddies. Today, I thought I would share a little gallery of my boy, Gibson as his Birthday is today and mine is tomorrow!
( His color was a darker red when we got him. It has since lightened up)
I have written about how owning dogs have changed my life, HERE, and am just sharing some of my favorite pics of my boy over the years. I do feel a bit bad for my boy, as this birthday, he is getting groomed first thing in the morning. This is the only time I see Gibby shake! He is NOT a fan of getting his nails clipped and I have to hold him to calm him down. Once this event is over, we usually get them a special meal for their birthday and they love Fresh pet as it is something different! I have to get a kick out of their special day, so I usually end up taking pics of them with their birthday hat on! The love it! ( not 🙂
His puppy picture! This was the picture that grabbed my heart and we picked him up soon after.
My birthday will be celebrated in Savannah, and our 16th Anniversary is also during our stay. We have some reservations at various notable restaurants that I look forward to sharing with you on the blog when we return. I will be sharing blog posts of our trip when we return, so I won’t be posting next week as we leave this weekend.
Gibby is 6 years old today and and I am 49 tomorrow. Where in the past, this may have bothered me; I feel more confident and happy to be at this stage in my life. The perception of women at midlife has and is changing! The trip is in part a birthday celebration and a way we wanted to celebrate our Anniversary. Life is all about making memories!
So enjoy my little tribute to my Birthday Boy, Gibson. My shadow, my little love, and my joy 🙂
This picture was taken after we ran to the car to escape the storm!
They love their Santa Suits 🙂 and Gibby loves his sister. We say “Call your sister” if we can’t find her in the house and he barks until she shows up.
The look is: “Why did mom put us in these crazy hats?”
We are soon off to Savannah! I’ll be taking a bit of a break and share our trip when we return. I am so ready for vacation!
I’ll be taking a computer break, but will be posting pictures from our trip on INSTAGRAM. Join me by following me there!
Enjoy your weekend!
