Hello friends!
How was your weekend? As always, it seemed to zip by, but we also heard a rumour of possible snow! It is the South, we don’t “do” snow! This pic was taken on Saturday and Sunday we actually had a bit more than a dusting. It did look pretty. Had a pretty laid back weekend, went to lunch at our favorite wine bar, and I decided it was a pampering day on Sunday and time for a pedicure. Besides, before long I will be exposing these tootsies in some new spring sandals. I have a few already picked out and pinned, so if you’re interested, check out my Spring 2017 wishlist where they will be on Pinterest.
Today I decided to wear this sweatheart dress from Leota, with one of my favorite chiffon cardigans in blush pink color. What I love about the dress here, is the bold pattern. No one wants to look like a wall flower and it is hard to do that when you wear bold pattern. I like a great polka dot dress, but when I saw the large black dots on this spring dress, I thought it would be a great addition to my closet. Very versatile, as I could layer it for Fall and winter, and yet wear it with any color of the rainbow in Spring and Summer. Add a jacket in red! Mix in a pale yellow scarf and bright shoes. Take pattern mixing up a notch and wear that black and white striped blazer. Lots of options.
I am finding more and more with the clothes I purchase, I want them to be versatile and able to wear in more than one season. Fit is a given. So, remember, when you wear a pattern, go bold!
