Casual Spring Look with Gingham top and White Jeans

Hello friends

I am styling white jeans this week as its time to get them out of the closet. I am styling two looks this week with white jeans, a casual look, as in the one here and a dressier look tomorrow. These are distressed white jeans from Loft, which then lends a casual vibe.

Hi friends

Thinking about a lot of things over this weekend, I hope you enjoyed Easter with your family, even in an unconventional way. My mom and I watched an Easter service on-line. I spoke to my siblings. My sister and I already talked about celebrating together next year, us cooking a Ukrainian Easter meal and making Paska ( a delicious Ukrainian bread) while my niece would decorate eggs. We can daydream, right?

Easter made me think even more about the importance of rising to the occasion. This means staying home, wearing masks at essential places, keeping healthy with self-care, both mentally and physically. It is difficult. I have said many prayers.

Not having therapy, dry needling has been especially difficult, yet I know we all have challenges we are dealing with at this time. The range of emotions is also hard to deal with, from anxiety and sadness to anger. It does take strength from everyone to keep a positive attitude and try and do your best day today.

I am out in front of our house, as my hubby continues to take blog photos. I love that I have this social network and also can share these outfits that may boost your mood. It is important to keep our spirits up. We celebrated my hubby’s 51st bday over the weekend, by getting curbside Italian at a fancy restaurant he’s wanted to go to. We then supported our favorite hangout, The Cottage, by calling ahead and picking up 6 bottles of wine curbside. We had a wonderful California Cab we enjoyed with the dinner.

My Outfit

I have a few gingham tops, but saw this lilac gingham tee from Ann Taylor, ( at 50% off) and thought it would make a cute addition to my Spring wardrobe. I added a gifted silk pastel scarf from Uno All Volta, and am wearing distressed denim from Loft. They are an older pair, but I am wearing my usual size 4. These distressed pair from Target are only $20!

To continue the casual vibe, I added my lace espadrille white sandals. My Kate Spade quilted baby blue bag accented the pastel shades in the

outfit. The bag is about 3-4 years old, you may want to try Ebay.

Outfit

Lilac gingham top– Ann Taylor

White distressed jeans- LOFT ( older, similar)

white lace espadrilles-Poshmark ( love these Vince Camuto pair ON SALE)

Handbag- Kate Spade ( older)

metal bracelet c/o Chaos NY

Silk Scarf c.o Una Alla Volta ( love this scarf and this for Spring)

earrings-Baublebar ( these earrings  are pretty)

Have a great day,

Stay Safe,

Jess xx

Hi Jess! I’m sure it’s a huge challenge not getting the weekly therapy and I’m sorry you and so many others are having to miss appts that really help with quality of life. As always, you look darling and kudos to your husband for taking some great pictures. You’re fortunate to have him as your photographer:)

HI Mel! Thank you! Yes, I have had higher pain levels because of not being able to get the treatment. I look forward to when I can. I appreciate it, I do enjoy doing the photoshoots and staying in touch with people. Hope you are well Mel!

Such a cute casual outfit, once again accessorized beautifully with the scarf, bag and bracelet. Super cute! Yes, it seems to get tougher as time goes by, doesn’t it? But it is encouraging to hear that the curve is indeed flattening, so folks really are stepping up and staying home.

    Stay safe and healthy,
    xx Darlene

      Hi Darlene
Thank you! It was fun to style my white jeans. I think most people are listening and stay at home. It does frustrate me to see some scene of people gathering, but that is fewer now.

There is something fabulously optimistic about gingham. I suddenly had an image in my mind of more people wearing pastel gingham and all the smiles on everyone’s faces. I also especially love the scarf and earrlings. Such a fun look.

The close-up photo of your earrings/scarf/checked top, just makes me happy! It’s a beautiful spring combo. I know what you mean–I’ve been feeling anger lately, myself. Our TX governor announced Friday he’s going to lay out plans to open things back up. That makes me so happy! At some point you have to weigh caution with over-doing it and causing a different kind of crisis. I *almost* ordered a checked top yesterday, but it didn’t get good reviews, so I passed. Sigh.
