Earth and Moon Design – “Breathless” Statement Necklace Set

Don’t you love a speicial piece of jewelry? I love pieces that make a statement, that are eye-catching, one of a kind and beautiful. When I was asked by Earth and Moon Design to choose a piece to feature, my eye went to this Chanel-inspired burgundy pearl necklace. This Mother- daughter team are creative artists who design the jewelry by hand. With the Holidays approaching, these would make a special gift for the lady who appreciates beautiful handcrafted jewelry.

Earth and Moon Design

Roslyn’s beading aesthetic has developed over time through her devotion to her pottery, glassware, and craft collections. She loves managing the business and selecting, buying and combining beads. Roz has an excellent eye for color and bead combinations and creates designs to enhance your wardrobe” Read the About Us Page.

Beth developed her visual acuity as an art director for film and in interior design. She enjoys creating new designs using her critical eye and imagination. Her inspiration comes from the things she loves: nature, fashion, art, vintage culture and ethnic influences” Read on the About Us page.

This particular design, called “Breathless”, a 19 inch statement necklace, caught my eye with the burgundy glass pearls, Swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls in shades of pomegranate. In person, there is a bronze sheen that is just gorgeous giving reflecting light on this stunning piece.

I felt this necklace went with my romantic style of dressing and wanted to showcase it with other colors of Fall. Its a head turner for sure!  The collar portion of the necklace was designed to drape just under your collar bone- the two strands nesting at 1″ apart until they come together at the focal point; a hand-painted Lucite flower donned with a burgundy Swarovski crystal.”

I love the elegance of this piece and don’t believe in having to save certain pieces of only special occasions! Life is an occasion, and I will wear this out, just wanting to feel a bit special for the day. The beautiful hand painted  lucite flowers are replicated in the earrings, adding a dainty touch to the look.

This piece was made by Beth Tanner for the Etherea Collection. “It was inspired by Chanel’s Cafe Society collection and the styles of the 20s. “

Necklaces

Earth and Moon Design has a wonderful selection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and sets handmade by Beth and Rosalyn. Check out the variety of necklaces they offer. I love this teal beaded necklace, as I am a fan of jewel tones.

Another stunning piece, Pandora Winter Statement Necklace

I love the blue and purple hues, the pearls and Czech glass, this would look amazing with winter white or similar blue/purple hues . It’s no wonder I love this piece, as it is also a part of the Etherea collection.

Another beautiful set, this, red beaded necklace would be a stunning piece to add to your wardrobe, adding a rich pop of color to a neutral look, or a fall fashionable look with rich fall hues.” Inspired by nature we create unique handcrafted beaded necklaces, bracelets, and earrings – enhancing your natural beauty and reflecting your passion for life.”

Inspiration

The “Breathless” necklace was inspired by  Chanel’s Cafe Society Collection of the 1920’s. Timeless, elegant, and made to make you feel special, no wonder my eyes were drawn into this style!

My Outfit

Inspired by the rich tones of burgundy/pomagranate in this stunning necklace/earrings, I wanted to feature more Fall warm hues in my outfit today. I’ll also be sharing the necklace later next week, so you can see it paired with a more neutral look.

Hues of mustard, rust, burgundy, browns are featured in my outfit, several of the pieces bought secondhand on Poshmark. I was excited to finally style this DKNY velvet ruffled blazer, I found for a steal on Poshmark. ( under $50). The silk blouse, underneath would go perfectly and also bought on Poshmark. I have purchased more silk blouses through poshmark at such great prices, and they are wonderful additions to my wardrobe.

This faux leather pencil skirt is from Zara, years ago, and it is one of my favorite shades for Fall. The faux croc pointed booties are also from Zara and add to all of the Fall rich tones. I also love patterned and fishnet tights, as they add additional texture to any look. My LV speedy is a bag that is classic and will stand the test of time.

So if you are looking for a unique piece for yourself, or wanting to buy a special gift for the season, check out Earth and Moon Design.
