17 Jan Elegantly Dressed and Stylish Reader Survey
Happy Friday friends!
I am going to be posting this survey for a week for people to complete, but I want to also link up to my post next Monday and Tuesday, as they are better traffic days than Fridays. BUT, I have made a Reader’s Survey of EDS blog and I would love if you would take the time to complete it so I can continue to deliver the content you like as well as finding out what else you might want to see on the blog.
Well, it has been one heck of a week to get blog photos for the following week. A challenge really! It has rained nearly non-stop since Monday! When this happens I try and get a few shoots in one day, because it is tough to predict!
Blogging
In Feb it will be 6 years of blogging for me here at Elegantly Dressed and Stylish. I love blogging and meeting ladies, as I feel a true comradery and it allows me to be creative, share my love for fashion and writing.
I didn’t picture I would be here, at this point in my life. Things do happen. Sickness can occur. So, instead of continuing as an Elementary Music teacher, I found myself working toward getting myself better. Feeling like my pain was out of control, and the idea of being in bed most of my days did not appeal to me. My hubby and I were active people. We met rock climbing, and I love to bike, swim, hike, all of which we did before my EDS.
Fast forward, and I am having to be Proactive with my Health and doctors. Read my post here –Tips to Being Proactive with Your Health
Diagnosed with EDS, even after finding pain management, meant a different direction for my life and “career”.
I wanted to still do something creative, and something that didn’t require me to be at a job outside of the house, as this disease is unpredictable. Needless to say, at the time, sitting and standing were impossible for long periods. So, I came across Fashion blogging over 40, and wanted to try doing this.
I would write short stories at my grandpaps secretary’s desk as a kid and loved to write. So, Fashion Blogging was born! It was difficult at first, you start to ask yourself about your “purpose in life”.
I am very thankful for my readers and people who email me about how the blog has helped them. I want to continue that connection. I love
styling clothes, and if I can help others while telling stories, that is important to me!
I also enjoy writing about different topics, ( which have become my Friday posts) from inspirational stories, Friday favorites, health, to midlife topics.
I have some other ideas up my sleeve that I want to do for Fridays, but I would love to hear your thoughts. I’ll post the results as soon as possible.
Monday and Tuesday will always be fashion, but Friday is more open.
Please take the time and fill out the survey by clicking on this link.
