02 Apr Espadrilles for Spring Under $60
HI friends
Did anyone pull an “April Fool’s Day joke on you?” Hard to believe it is April!
Last Friday I wrote a post about Spring dresses under $50 which was a hit, so I thought about writing a similar post curating some pretty espadrille sandals for Spring that are under $60.
Spring Espadrilles
I have always been a fan of espadrilles and have a few pair to my name, some bought, some gifted through blogging, but different styles.
There are lace up espadrilles, with ribbon ties that tie up the leg. There are faux suede espadrilles with buckles at the ankle, there are espadrilles with leopard print, and platform espadrilles.
Even though I am 5 foot 9, I do prefer a platform or wedge espadrille as I find they offer support along with height.
Since the Pantone colors are Ultimate Grey and Illuminating Yellow, I am seeing these colors in shoes, including espadrilles. A sunny pop of yellow certainly appeals to me, like wearing rays of sun on your feet!
The ones I have curated below, most are under $40. The Schutz are the almost $60 pair..
These sandals are similar to the Marc Fisher espadrilles that are so popular, but less $$. They come in 3 colors.
These warm neutral tones are pretty and will go with anything! If I wore these, I would be 6′ 2″!
I love the ombre multicolored base here, and the platform makes it easier to walk. These are by Frye, so we know the quality is good!
Love this smaller wedge on this espadrille and the lace up ties. I have worn a pair often on the blog that has the same feature.
Ok, now friends. These espadrilles are $15! I love the wedge, the platform and of course the olive color. These are by Fregalicious.
CL by Laundry has these darling scalloped butter yellow espadrilles. So you wanted to incorporate the “Color of the Year” into your Spring wardrobe? This yellow shoe, as an accessory would be the way to go. They are under $40!
These Marc Fisher espadrilles caught my eye! In the snakeskin, the jute signifies this espadrille. Love the sold black strap. This sandal comes in 3 colorways.
Sam Edelman has these platform flats in multiple colors, but this blush gold is a great way to add a soft metallic to your summer look.
These just under $60 espadrille by Schutz are the perfect mule to go with anything in your Spring/Summer wardrobe.
This list would not be the same if I didn’t include a pair of leopard espadrilles. These are by Matisse
The Lauren Platform Sneaker ( Espadrille) also comes in black, and is a fun, sporty look.
Easter Weekend Happenings
I hope you have a beautiful Easter day. It is supposed to be the one warmer and sunny day here! When I grew up there were many Ukrainian traditions that we followed for Easter. My mom and dad would take us to my mom’s Ukrainian church on the Southside. We would have Easter baskets blessed by the Monsienour. Paska bread ( a Ukrainian egg bread) was put in the basket with a hand sawn cloth over top .
I think I may have mentioned that I was at home when I was attending college, so I think my mom ( Easter bunny) hid our baskets until I was about 25! LOL. We would have to search the house, and I became quite keen on the coat closet as one of the hiding spots.
This year we were able to get perogies at Fresh Market ( still no match for the homemade ones made by the older ladies of the church). and will have pecan encrusted trout and vegetable sides with my sister and niece as well. It was so nice to have us together with mom.
Did I mention my mom did meet a “perogie supplier”? ” We told her she found her “perogie dealer” but that sounded kind of shady! We were at a wine bar a few weeks ago, sitting outside when we met people from Pittsburgh ( our hometown). We had a long discussion about Pittsburgh and Eastern European foods and traditions, as well as foods we missed- perogies, holupchi and paska. They exchanged numbers and we now have a Ukrainian supplier. 🙂
Which of these styles would you wear?
I could go on, but instead want to wish you and your family-
A Blessed and Happy Easter!
Stay safe,
Jess

Posted at 10:52h, 06 AprilOMG, Jess, I just laughed out loud about your perogie supplier! I need to make some homemade perogies soon! I really enjoyed all of your espadrille picks in this post. My warm weather footwear is usually espadrilles or footbed sandals…now if the weather would get warm enough for bare toes! I won’t be wearing sandals probably until June. Thanks for linking with me!

Posted at 10:48h, 06 AprilGreat collection! I love the look of wedges, and the added support from the chunky sole as opposed to heels. I am a wuss though. I always bring my flip flops with me, and end up switching out at some point because my feet just aren’t used to heels and wedges. Haha!

Posted at 23:12h, 02 AprilHave a fabulous Easter Jess.
I absolutely love espadrilles, but I am pickier about how comfy/soft they are. I was so surprised with my first pair ever—how hard the sole was!! I try not to make that mistake anymore, LOL
