Fall Decor, Fashion and Recipes

TGIF!

Or does each day blend together where you have to ask what day it is?

I wanted to share with you this time of year, my favorite, when I begin decorating the house a bit. There are many house furnishings to find and you don’t have to spend a fortune to decorate for the season

I bought my decor this year at Target, AtHome, and Amazon. I find when we went into AThome, last year, before Christmas, and it was like we were kids in a candy store. Every isle filled with decor goodies you could go crazy for, or adds bits to your house for a boost to welcome in the new Fall season. Amazon, really has just about anything and I found my tablecloth there. I will be hosting Thanksgiving this year and happy my sister and niece will join my mom, husband and me.

I couldn’t resist this “Happy Fall ” banner, as it added that needed touch.

Target has some pretty wreaths when I realized Athome was out of stock with each wreath I tried to order. I loved this brown and mustard hop design, and of course, my hubby’s cheer was more like “Cool, its made of hops. ” I am all about color and texture when it comes to home decor. This wreath is sold out, but a similar wreath make by the company is available.

The corner store has some pumpkins I will be picking up to add to our front door decor. You have to have pumpkins ! I also like to create a centerpiece of gourds and pumpkins which I can find here. I also love this pumpkin and leaf center piece. Great for Thanksgiving too!

I don’t say “Y’all” all that often, coming from Pittsburgh, but I love the truck carrying the pumpkins! Find this mat here.

I bought these pillow covers on Amazon and love the additional Fall Spirit and color they add. When we get our floors done, they will also add additional color to the brown wood floors and couch. I’ll then be looking for a colorful area rug.

Fall fashions from previous years

As Fall fashions enter the stores and we busy ourselves with ideas of what we want to add to our closets some pieces stand the test of time.

A burgundy Fall floral cardi and faux leather pleated skirt add to the rich colors of Fall. I’ve since had to give the sweater up ( due to pilling) but I will style the skirt in the future months.

This gorgeous satin dress from Mango was bought years ago, but it is a wonderful pieces to wear for mutliple seasons. Add a cardi, moto jacket or blazer over this richly colored dress.

I love jewel tones with red hair and this teal blouse adds a pop of color to a neutral print skirt. You eyes may decieve you! It looks like leopard, but is actually flowers.

This Anthropologie pumpkin colored sweater called to me last year. I styled it with tulip hemmed jeans and my favorite brocade print booties from Franco Sarto. Our weather has been quite Fall-like, which is welcomed, when we have some days that hit 90. It has been in the 60s and 70s.

Fall recipes

Now, if you are like me, you love to make Fall recipes that include pumpkin, squash and maybe a Thanksgiving or Halloween Cocktail . I am sharing my finds via Pinterest and tell you some of the recipes I am hoping to make. Oh they sound so good!

I’ve been perusing the Pumpkin recipes for this time of year, and Mom and I decided upon this scrumptious Pumpkin Prailine Bread Pudding for Thanksgiving or really anytime. Since it was pinned, it is from the website Flavor Mosaic.com.

And if you are a sweets lover for breakfast, I have the recipe for you! Pinned from the website, Just So Tasty, I am going to make the Pumpkin French Toast. Oh Yeah! I love it and you probably have the ingredients, minus the pumpkin puree. Next Wallmart trip!

Have a great weekend,

Stay safe,

Jess xx

This post warms me from the inside out. Those sticky sweet recipes sound delicious. I am pinning pumpkin this and cinnamon that all over the place. Now to get to baking!! Wish the baking part was as easy as the pinning part.
Gorgeous looks…those brocade booties, the faux leather pleated skirt.
Your cute garland reminds me of mine…it is a Target garland that I jazzed up a bit. It says “Hello Fall” but my naughty husband swears it says “Hell of All.”

I did a little decorating for Fall too. I tried to stay away from so much orange this time but it still happened. Haha. Love those wine colored shoes.

So many nice things. I like your decor, the door mat is adorable. Since I lived in FL so long (and now TX) “ya’ll” trips off the tongue w/o thinking! You always look so stunning, my friend. I imagine your closet like a dry cleaner rack, spinning around with so many choices. Those booties and Anthro cardigan 😍. Have a great weekend!

Oh yes! I will be making both of these with my mom. That is a favorite too! I could wear that in the winter with a sweater over it. I want to try and style chunky sweaters with dresses. It has been fun decorating. I have my surgery next Thursday, hope it will go smoothly.
