Fall Fashion Trends 2022- One’s You Will Actually Wear

They are called Trends.  and according to Wiki,

“A fashion trend signifies a specific look or expression that is spread across a population at a specific time and place. A trend is considered a more ephemeral look, not defined by the seasons when collections are released by the fashion industry”

Fashion Trends for Fall

Many trends may be created from the arts, the movies, a cultural pop icon, influencers and other sources.

Some trends do lend themselves to fashion items you may actually wear. Let’s take a look at some of them.

  • Blazers– I have two vivid recollection of some fabulous blazers I wore in high school and college, and the point is I still love them today. They are a 3rd piece that commands a smart look, and the “tailored look” that is in. I do have to laugh that I was wearing blazers in high school. I think that was one of the reasons I got bullied. Waiting for someone to say, ” Ahh, either ” Are you the teacher?” or didn’t you know the school uniform was band tee, a flannel shirt? and jeans” I guess I didn’t get the memo! Blazers are everywhere, and I love the structured style. If you are usually more casual, you can still keep your “casual vibe”, like jeans and a tee, but add a fun blazer.
  • Suiting– Suits are still going strong, as are the brights, according to the Pantone Institute. I wrote about the colors for Fall in THIS POST. Stand out in a hot pink or orange suit and add some fun texture with a croc bag or loaders.
  • Baggier jeans and different cuts- there are many shapes and styles of jeans now trending for Fall. You may like the looser, baggier, “Dad jean” or the “Skater Jean”. Whichever, this baggier style is reminiscent of jeans of the 1990s.  With Pudendal Neuralgia, jeans are going to be out for a bit, but I do like a slightly looser style.
  • Leather or Faux Leather– I certainly fancy this! I have faux leather Motos. pants and pencil skirts in this category. It seems like this is one of those “trends” that comes around and goes around.
  • Trench coats are showing for Fall, and again, a classic look. Varying lengths and details, one should choose wisely, by noting the fabric and quality of the construction. I shared my secondhand trench coat HERE on this post.
  • Maxi dresses or Maxi skirts– I do love a midi length, but maxi dresses and their elegance are trending for Fall. Lots of choices out there ladies,
  • Warm Caramel Tones– Is it just me, or do you love a camel coat, a caramel cashmere sweater, some trousers in this warm hue? This is one shade that will be out there this Fall, so if you have been looking for that “elusive perfect camel coat” start browsing! I got mine last year from Mango and will be wearing it as it gets cold down here. It is quite light, so depending on your climate, choose wisely 🙂
  • Loafers- Although I have styled some loafers this Fall, and they are trending, I consider them a staple or a classic shoe that one can wear for a long time. I love the look with trousers, jeans, but also love the loafer look with a pencil skirt or faux leather dress. These are slightly more unexpected, and add some fun textured tights to the mix, and there you have it! USE THE CODE JESS20 FOR 20% OFF ON Easy Spirit.

I’m finally coming around to the platform loafers. But I’m glad that leather is still going strong. And I adore blazers,
