15 Sep Fall Shoe and Boot Trends 2017

Happy Friday

I hope you all had a great week! I don’t know about you, but I LOVE Fall fashion. I get excited over wearing boots , booties, textures and layering and keeping aware of Fall Trends in shoes and boots. It doesn’t mean I love them all, but it is fun to incorporate a trend here and there and that goes for shoes/boots as well.

Its that time of year where I get excited to see all of the pretty Fall shoes and boots that make their way on to retailer’s sites. A great site if you aren’t already aware is DSW, and they have great prices on shoes and Fall boots! I have begun to look at my closet and see what I would like to add in this department. Let’s talk about some of the trends coming out for fall first.

Ankle Wrap shoes-Ribbon, buckles, tie or wrap around the ankle for a made in accessory. I have a pair of brown ones I bought last year from ASOS. I love this style with a pair of patterned tights for an interesting look, plus you get the look of rich velvet with this shoe. ( 2 trends with one buy)

Over The Knee Boots- I am sure this isn’t a surprise as they are popular each year. I do love this style and find there are boots for everyone. If you aren’t a heel kind of girl, there are some lovely OTK boots in a flat style. Black is your standard, and then I love a grey boot as another neutral.

Button detailed boots and shoes. –i love details on shoes.. let’s face it, details can make an outfit. Buttons are a detail in shoes and boots shown on the runway that can add a fun style to your look.

Fancy sneakers- why not have the comfort of sneakers but make them exciting to wear? love the jacquard!

Velvet shoes/booties– Love these rich red velvet mules that would make any outfit!

Lace up boots- I do love details to shoes and boots and have several pairs of lace up boots. An older tall pair I have from Dansko, laces up the entire boot in the front. Fortunately, there is a zipper on the side! These are trendy as well as the combat boot.

Floral or Jacquard- I am on the lookout for a pair of jacquard booties. They add extra texture, pattern to an outfit and can be dressed up or down. Think of mixing patterns with your booties being one pattern.
