16 Sep My Favorite Summer Outfits ( Since it is Still 90 degrees)
Happy Friday all!
I know, the middle of Sept should allow me to take out some light sweaters, perhaps a moto jacket, but not here in Charlotte, NC. It is still 90 degrees with a few days dipping to mid-80s. By now, I am ready for Fall, the change of seasons and cooler air. Had some fun things happen this week, with the air conditioning in our car breaking down, and getting stung by a bee ( im allergic) while sitting on the deck working on the blog. My hubby is a handiman though, and was able to replace the fan and fix the air in about an hour! So, that was much better.
The above look is from LOFT, and nothing says ease of summer, like a maxi dress. This beautiful sea green dress caught my eye and the jewelry I received as a birthday gift. The colorful metal floral necklace, I would be able to wear with so much.
What I like about this dress is the color. Just because it is summer, doesn’t mean one can’t wear purple shades, like this burgundy. it might even get you in the mindset for Fall! Hmm. do the colors Burgundy, Merlot, Port.. remind you of anything ? 🙂
I love this print with its soft olive and peach tones from ZARA. Shirtdresses are big this year and they are just so easy and comfortable to wear!
Another color ( RUST) or POTTER”S CLAY, as the Pantone’s Insititute has named it,that is BIG for Fall, it is seen on the Runways for FW and this dress can transform into Fall with some small changes.
This look is more of a transition to Fall look. If I take off the jacket, I love an all white look with some tan/brown accessories. Nothing says summer like white.
Anyhow, as much as I want to wear Fall Fashions, I wanted to share some of my favorite summer outfits before the change in Season does take place.
So, in the meantime, I try and style looks that transition to Fall, waiting a month or more, for the actual weather to hit. Which outfit is your favorite?
What are you looking forward to wearing? If you are a blogger in warmer climates, do you find it difficult to wear Fall clothes right now? Let me know in the comments.

Posted at 12:47h, 18 SeptemberGreat outfits, Jess. I especially like the floral shirt dress and the all white with the brown jacket. With the heat in your area you need to still think summer, but I like how you brought in the fall colors. Great post. Thanks for sharing. – Amy

Posted at 03:38h, 17 SeptemberIt has been painfully hot here too, until just yesterday when we got a nice cold snap. I can’t wait to dig out sweaters and boots and coats and scarves and hats! I have to say though, you REALLY suit a summer dress. That burgundy one is my favourite, and looks just amazing with your figure. Have a super weekend, sweet Jess. xx

Posted at 09:04h, 16 SeptemberIt’s definitely gotten cooler here in the mornings and evenings—it’s almost like I need two (or 3) different outfits for the day—ha ha–I can do that easily!
The maxis you’ve shown are so stunning—it’s amazing how a long dress can be so cool in the summer—so much better than pants!!
Happy Weekend and no more bees!!

Posted at 09:50h, 16 SeptemberI get what you are saying. I woke up early today and it was cooler, still supposed to be 90 this weekend. I am so ready for the low 80s or 70s. I never was big on maxi dresses until a few years ago, and they are so comfortable. I don’t understand how people can wear jeans when it is this hot. I am not a fan of clothes sticking to me! right? Thanks Jodie! It took about 5 days for the swelling to go down, bee allergies are no fun, and I didnt even provoke it! xx
