First Outfit of the New Year- Hello 2023

Nothing like the first outfit of the year to get you going in 2023.

I have to get used to writing and typing that!

Happy New Year friends!

I took a bit of a blogging break over the Holidays, as it was needed. I am making progress with my PN, but it is a slow go. It takes a lot of time, and perseverance.

I needed a recharge and decided it was time to just have some fun with the family and we did a fair amount of Christmas and Holiday activities.

We went to my brother and sister in law’s house for New Years, and we all the type to go to bed at 9, so it was going to be a challenge to see who could stay awake! (I know, I am such a party animal!) Love the hot tub though!

My Outfit

Keeping with black and red, I decided to style the Clara Sun Woo wide leg liquid leather cropped pants with my Mango red blazer. A basic black turtleneck would be styled underneath. What I love about these wide leg pants is that the liquid leather is not leather, but rather a knit and can be washed. Brilliant!

My velvet red boots usually come out about this time, and I love the velvet touch in the Winter. The colors were slightly off in photos, but the red is both bluer red. If I wanted to continue with the leg line, and create a lengthier look, I could have worn my black knee-high boots or my pointed black croc boots.

I’m sharing a few new rings I received for Christmas. The gold fillagree ring is from Dean and Davidson, a Canadian jeweler I have become enthralled with. The other is Monica Vinader, and hubby, ahem, Santa, gave me that one. I love the Criss cross style and wearing it on the pointer finger. The gold earrings are Kendra Scott, another hubby gift.

Christmas zipped past a bit faster than you could say, “Rudolph” this year. We did get the decor up earlier than usual, so we could enjoy it a bit more.  We are leaving our new 10-foot tree up until the end of January. I’d keep the indoor stuff up longer. It’s the outdoor decorations, (which I love) that need to come down a bit faster than the beginning of March- people start to look at you funny!

I will revisit my New Year’s Goals from last year and see how I did accomplishing them. I will also set goals for 2023. I like the sound of goals over resolutions.
