Green Flowy Top – Outfit Inspired by Nature

Shades of green are often inspired by the Spring season and  Nature.

My Inspiration- Outfit

We actually had a Spring for the first time in a few years here in Charlotte. This year, we had cooler temps and just fresh Spring air when we would often go from Winter directly to Summer.

I was inspired by Nature and the Outdoors for this post, as I styled my olive green Loft top with its flowy tiered style.

As I child, I always loved being outdoors. With a sister and two brothers, we would often play from morning until night in our yard . “Kick the Can” was a favorite, as was kickball, when we played with my “crush” Chip, down the street.

We played tag football, and the telephone poles we played between became our goal posts. We also had a basketball hoop in our driveaway where we would play HORSE and other games. Although I was on a basketball team, ( because when you are a tall girl in Elementary school, that’s what you do) I wasn’t great at it. It was fun though! I was a tomboy for sure! I played street hockey with my brother and his friends and let’s just say a slap shot to the chest, was the end of that!

I was in Girl Scouts and we did “Primitive Camping” as well as hiking, canoeing, white water rafting. When I met my husband, I was taking a Rock Climbing Course and belonged to the same Outdoor’s Club. I have always found the woods to be a peaceful and tranquil place.

So, my outfit was inspired my Mother Nature, and the green top I am wearing demonstrates that. It is neutral, and can go with any color. Think of flowers, green and magenta, green and pink, green and purple hues. If I wanted to take this neutral look and add color, I could certainly change out my bag, shoes or earrings.

Those jeans are super cool Jess!! It’s true you could switch out the shoes for any color and it’d be still fabulous.

Cute outfit – I love this top paired with the wide leg denim. The colors of nature look so good on you! We had some nice weather this weekend too but it’s definitely heating up here. I was always outside as a kid – I sure miss those days!

Thank you Kellyann. I know! I miss it too sometimes. I am doing a bit better lately, so we hope to go camping and hiking soon. It does seem everywhere is a heatwave! We have some hot temps here too!

Thank you Suzy! I love green too, there are so many pretty shades of green. I love Spring as after such a bare Winter, I love seeing the colors and hearing the Spring sounds.
