06 Mar Having the Right Foundation Under Your Clothes
Did you ever notice someone with an extremely stylish outfit but the foundational garments were all wrong? I love beautiful lingerie and undergarments and note the importance of the proper garments in how it makes you look and feel.
Thongs, Bikini Bottoms and Shapewear
I myself, do not wear Spanx or any compression garments or shapewear I never liked the feel of them and I don’t like compression. However, I do want my bra and underwear to fit properly and also look good under my clothes. Whether it is thongs, bikini bottoms or other underwear, the foundation is one of the most important things you wear to create a stylish look.
I do wear Victoria’s Secret Lacie thongs are both pretty and comfortable.
If you do like shapewear or want to try a different brand, these SKIMS products by Kim K, have just come on the market. I was gifted this sculpting wireless bra and this plunge bra to try and I do love a seamless wireless bra, as long as it has enough support. These thong undies I was gifted are comfortable as well in a quick-dry fabric.
I found these wonderful nude seamless undies at Target, and they are great if you are wearing a slip dress, something silky, or just don’t want those dreaded panty lines.
Bras
I used to always want “hippie boobs”, or small breasts that would let me go braless in tops, dresses. But since that isn’t the reality, and I wear a 34B, and accept this size. I just now want bras that fit comfortable and lift.
I haven’t tried these yet, but have heard good things about the Soma Vanishing Bra. I like the smooth back and several of my friends have tried it. I just bought it, a new Soma Vansihing Bra, unlined with a front clasp, so I’ll report on how I like it when I receive it.
I do have several bras by Third Love and love that they were a company by women and create bras for women. I took the fit test to learn the correct size in a bra. This wireless bra is very comfortable and is my daily bra. I encourage you to take the fit finder-test to get the best fitting bra, and I didn’t have to try it on in the store!
I know bras can be a tricky thing for ladies, always looking for the Holy Grail in both fit and comfort. I do love wireless, but it has to lift as well. WIth panties, I love a pretty thong as well as seamless undies for the best look under my clothing. If you invest in your undergarments, you not only will feel pretty, but will look more put together and stylish. Let’s face it, you don’t want your underwear to drag down the appearance of your outfit!
What types of undergarments do you prefer? Do you like shapewear?
Let me hear from you in the comments.

Posted at 00:54h, 08 MarchHi Jess, I wonder these underwears are saem or saemless?

Posted at 11:06h, 07 MarchI loved this post Jess! I agree with you that the correct under garments can make the biggest difference to an outfit. I’m
not too keen on feeling uncomfortable and trussed up. I have an old pair of “Bridget Jones” knickers that are comfortable
and do the job of smoothing the lines – probably because of the age they are!

Posted at 11:21h, 07 MarchHi Allison, thank you! I received these bras and find them comdortable. I also just ordered the Vanishing bra from Soma that I look forward to trying. It has the font clasp and is unlined, which I like. Comfort is key, as is support when it comes to bras. Thats great that you have a pair that dont show pantie lines. I have tried the ones I ve listed from Target, ($5) which are great. ENjoy the weekend!

Posted at 09:06h, 06 MarchI’ve been hearing a lot about the Kim K. brand. I know what you mean about the wrong foundation ruining a garment. It seems like middle-aged women can be more guilty of this, wearing a size or brand that no longer holds the “girls” up where they belong.

Posted at 08:54h, 06 March“Hippie Boobs”. haha. I have never heard that expression. I have them but do not have the courage to go braless in a slinky top. I am always looking for smooth shape wear. I have never gotten used to wearing thongs but wish I felt comfortable in them. It would solve a lot of my clothes fitting problems.

Posted at 11:01h, 06 MarchHi Lisa!
YOu probably haven’t heard that, as it is my expression! lol. I just think of girls in the 70s wearing halter tops with no bra, etc.. But at my age, 50, I need the support anyway, even if they arent “big”. The SKIMS line does have what looks like good shapewear -. I never thought I would like thongs until I tried the VS ones and find them comfy.
