How Now Brown Cow? Brown is HOT for Fall Fashion 2025

Did your mom ever say that? Well, it is an English saying and asks, in a lighthearted way, How are you doing?

Well, the “color” brown is showing in fashion retailers everywhere, chocolate brown that is.

Chocolate Brown Fashion

Speaking of chocolate, I just visited a Chocolatier in my neighborhood and bought some maple milk chocolate while sampling some 70% cacao dark chocolate from different regions. But I digress.. talking about chocolate, yet also interested in chocolate brown fashion!

Are you a fan? Is the color to deep for you, you would just rather wear black? We already know that black is chic. Desire a change?  This dark shade of brown offers a change, a breath of nostalgia and a familiar, yet modern take with various shapes and cuts to this earthy shade. Not only that, it looks expensive. ( but doesn’t have to be!)

Well, chocolate brown combines so richly with so many other colors. Pair it with blush pink for the unexpected. Wear it with butter yellow leading into the Fall season. Mix other brown tones like caramel, camel, rust etc  Red or jewel tones also makes for a rich pairing.

I have curated some brown pieces you may be interested in shopping for fall. Remember, these are affiliate links and the blog will make a small commision at not cost to you.

Nothing like the look of chocolate brown suede or leather/faux leather. I have a pair of faux leather trousers from Ann Taylor that were a “must have” for me a few years ago. I have also purchased a few brown pieces I am linking up here.

Something about the richness of Fall and it’s warm tones, not to mention, I am an “Autumn” that really appeals to me. I’m in love with these low heeled ( 1inch) brown suede booties from Steve Madden.

There are many other pieces out there in retailers. One of the places I like to look is H&M. The quality in some pieces has gotten better, and if it is a trend for you, you may want to spend a bit less. This suede like jacket is a winner for Fall.

It is showing as suede bags, rich leather boots, and lots of Fall fashion goodness from faux leather pants to knit dresses. Following on from the runways in 2024, chocolate brown is trending for Fall 2025 as well.

What’s Goin On?

Hi friends! I hope your summer is going well. I seem to have an itch to get outta town soon, and we are going to be going the first week of Sept to visit my brother in NJ. He works in NY and now is living in the Burgs of Jersey, so we will be gone that week. We have recently begun a kitchen remodel, and boy, it is quite the process! A different contractor for each thing, so I hope to have it done by Christmas ! LOL.

I had begun accupuncture for my GI symptoms, so I will have to write about that once I have completed at least 4 sessions. You can’t expect miracles until at least that.

On another note! I’ve been doing a bit of shopping for Fall adding some pieces here and there – so

Here I have curated some chocolate pieces for you for Fall-

I love chocolate brown and went crazy last season getting pieces now that it is back in fashion. Being a fellow redhead, I am a bright spring, so I wear this just like I do black and sometimes with black. It’s one of my favorite neutrals!

      Hi Dawn
Yes, chocolate brown is a nice change of pace! Right now, I’m loving that burgundy and olive for my closet. You certainly can mix colors like pinks and blues too, being a bright spring.

Brown is not my favorite color, but I have bought a few things with brown as the background color. I do prefer black though I’m not sure if it prefers me. We have done two kitchen remodels (ourselves). They are not fun, but the end result is always worth it!

    Have a wonderful weekend, Jess!
