04 Jan How to Style Joggers in a Dressy Way
Happy New Year friends!
I hope you all had a Blessed Season and made the most out of these circumstances.
With 2021 now here, I am hoping for a positive change and a faster rollout for the vaccine. Since lockdown and staying at home, we are dressing more casually in joggers and loungewear. This week, I am styling joggers two ways- in a dressy style ( for when we get to go out again) and in a more casual styled way.
Before I talk about the break, I have been thinking about content for this new year, and also have also been looking into blog designs and will post on my blog/life goals for the New Year soon! 🙂
The Holidays
I hope you all enjoyed the Holiday break, It was a time that was needed, yet at the same time, I yearned to get out! We had a very nice Holiday with my mom here. She was able to see the magical tree we have, running out of space for more rustic ornaments we added this year. Next year, we are in the market for a wider taller tree in our 2 story Great Room.
We certainly enjoyed watching movies like Elf together, and since I am a fan of slapstick, I was laughing out loud at the many scenes I have already viewed years ago. Boy, do we ever need to laugh!
I worry about the state of things in the world, and try not to get into the mindset of each day being “Ground Hog day” or I jokingly say, “House Arrest”.
Believe me, I love my family, and am grateful for them – it is hard though and my mom is feeling the strain and fatigue as I am sure we all are by now.
So, on to lighter topics and just going day to day, which is all we can do at the moment.
Christmas was lovely with excellent company, pups to make me laugh and some great food. It doesn’t hurt in that regard that my mom is here! She is the cook and we are the cooking minions. 🙂 We made the delicious ice cream based 1940’s drink the “Pink Squirrel” in honor of my Dad, and NYE had another cocktail concoction – a Cranberry Martini recipe I spied and made from Pinterest. Let’s just say Mom and I did NOT make it up until Midnight!
How to Style the Joggers in a Dressy Way
If you missed my post before Christmas on affordable loungewear, read it now. I have bought 3 pairs of the Lou and Grey joggers and you will see me style them on the blog.
Why dress up you say?
We are all at home, either living in our jammies or loungewear aren’t we? We’ll those of us retired or not able to work may be, but others are working from home, at Zoom meetings etc.
I saw these adorable leopard joggers from the Lou & Grey line at LOFT before Christmas and scored this pair for $17!!
Now, that never happens that I get something nearly 80% off, as these joggers are popular! I bought them in an XS and they fit great. I love that they are a straighter leg and they have 2 pockets in the back. The only complaint about the Lou and Grey joggers is that they could be a bit longer. I am 5 foot 9 and they are cropped a bit. I do like to wear booties or wedge sneakers with them though.
I am wearing my older Gap turtleneck sweater and my Dolce Vita black croc boots I wear often.
Another new piece here is this gorgeous double breasted camel coat you will see much more of on the blog. I waited until it was on sale on Mango, and took the plunge, as I had wanted a structured camel coat for awhile. I am wearing an XS in the coat, and checked back to link it, but it has sold out on Mango’s site. I am glad I got it when I did! I have linked a few other options, and will be writing a post on Winter coats soon. Here is one option, this pretty wrap camel coat from Mango.
So, if you want to dress up your joggers, wear a sweater, add some booties, and there you have it! A structured coat always adds to a more polished look no matter what you are wearing.
Tomorrow I will share how to style joggers in a more casual- but still put together way.
Do you wear your loungewear casually or have you tried dressing them up?

Posted at 13:32h, 14 JanuaryJess, I love this outfit so much! Those joggers are so stinking adorable. And you look so chic and cozy! Great coat, too. I definitely am suffering from lockdown fatigue. Now my kids are fully remote for school so we are adhering to a rather strict schedule which includes exercise and other beneficial things but the structure definitely helps to get through the days. I am just trying to embrace being in my home and making improvements around me so I enjoy it more….because I don’t think we will have freedom to move around outside any time soon. It only took me 10 months to realize that! Ha. But here we are. Thanks for sharing and linking with me.

Posted at 10:25h, 17 JanuaryThank you my friend! they are comfy and I loved the leopard print of course. It is good to have a schedule or structure during this! I walk outside or use my home treadmill and weights. making home improvments sure help since we are home all of the time. Our new flooring really gave new life to our house!

Posted at 20:55h, 12 JanuaryI typically reserve my joggers for in the house, only because I am most comfortable in jeans when I’m out and about, but what a fun idea to dress them up a bit, and add them into rotation. Almost can’t even tell those are joggers.

Posted at 12:45h, 04 JanuaryThe leopard joggers are so cute! I’m glad you and your family had nice holidays in spite of the Ground Hog Day vibe. I am feeling cautiously optimistic as the vaccine rolls out.

Posted at 07:49h, 04 JanuaryThese are cute pants! You styled them well. They look like casual dress pants instead of casual joggers.
I have a pair of jogger jeans that I love to wear like regular jeans and will go out in them.
