It’s Time for Spring Dresses- Trending Yellow

Hi Friends,

I hope you all had a great weekend. I’m sharing with you a new dress I bought as the yellow floral print just epitomized Spring/Summer to me.

Yellow Floral Dress

This dress caught my eye instantly! I loved the yellow and green floral pattern, and the sundress reminded me of 70s colors. The mustard yellow and green was something we had in our kitchen at one point! I also liked that it has adjustable straps, as I am long waisted, so I tend to need more length in a strap.

I wear a 36B and my dress size is a 4, so if you are more full-busted, you may choose to go up a size.

The fitted bodice with more of an A line skirt is wonderful for so many shapes.

If you want to wear something over it, this linen blend cardigan would look lovely.

Keeping the accessories light, I added my rattan Zara round bag, and my Zara strappy sandals I bought years ago. Here I have linked similar items for you to shop.

The color yellow, particularly butter yellow is trending, but I am seeing other yellows as well. If you need a bit of a warmer yellow, I suggest mustard yellow. This dress had more warmth to it in that way, it seems all I am missing is the babushka for that “more vintage look”.

I liked the print so much I bought it in a blouse as well. You will see me style it soon on the blog.

Other Yellow pieces

Here is a linen Calvin Klein dress in a bright yellow under $50.

Another yellow floral dress under $60!

Why not a bright yellow easy breezy linen dress. This can be styled in many ways!

Go from the beach to dinner in this yellow floral Kaftan dress.

Life Lately

It’s been quite hot here in the Carolinas. Our pool is open now and when we have those more leisurely Sundays, I tend to go there and take a dip as well as read. Currently, I am reading Kristin Hanah’s Book-True Colors. I enjoy her writing and love reading historical fiction. I’ll have to let you know my thoughts once I have read it.

We also have enjoyed going to the “hip part of town”, the Southend in Charlotte. There are a lot of restaurants and breweries. I don’t like beer, so I usually get a small selection from red or white wine. Hubby does, even though I tell him his IPA’s taste like “freshly cut grass”.

Would you wear this dress? Are you a fan of yellow ? This would make a lovely brunch dress, wedding guest dress, or worn casually with a denim jacket and sneakers. Sometimes you have to look outside the box. 🙂

Have a great week!

You look like a lady ready for some iced tea on a nice wide verandah! I love this floral print in these shades of yellow and green, and you look gorgeous in them! Your little wicker bag is just perfect, too.

I would definitely wear that dress! But I don’t think I could wear it as well as you. Do. You have such pretty arms and shoulders. You look amazing! Perfect! Spring to summer look.
