Hello Friends!
I hope your weekend was enjoyable and you are getting some nice weather. It has been pretty hot here as of late, a bit of a heat wave in the high 80s. I enjoy sitting out on our deck int he morning to write and enjoy my coffee. I’ve been experiencing some difficult days with pain, so I’d like to let you know I will do my best to comment and do as much as I can. We are at my hubby’s parents house to visit and for a change of environment, and will be back soon.
These pictures were prior to the visit, near our house and one of our favorite areas to chill and relax with a glass of wine. I love just looking at the boats enjoying the surroundings. We don’t own a boat to take out on the lake, but enjoy renting and spending a day on the lake and in the water!
Today I am sharing a trend that is popping up- from Safari dresses to tropical sandals, purses and jewelry. The Tropical Trend is HOT! 🙂 I have always loved this style and had been looking for a olive safari style dress to add to my Spring closet. This Karina Dresses collaboration came at a perfect time! You all know I love Karina dresses, that they are made in the USA and don’t wrinkle! The fabric is light, perfect for travel too, as I will be bringing this dress on my visit!
I love the big tropical print and olive color, and pictured this with my new straw clutch ( Mango) and olive espadrilles. I could also see this with wooden accessories, so I styled it with this bronze Sylca Necklace. If you were interested in pattern mixing, a great opportunity to wear a patterned scarf with this dress would be lovely. I always picture this style with browns, rusts, yellow, or earthy type shades, but it is a neutral dress, so any color would work.
This style of dress, is the Megan, a 1940s short sleeve and full skirt style, it is one of my favorites. Karina has so many style and cuts that one would certainly find a dress to find their shape. I have always loved the fit of Karina dresses, and this one is no exception. What I love about Karina Dresses is that the sizing is consistant. I wear an XS in any of their dresses, so it makes shopping easy too.
These bronze leaf earrings were bought in Savannah about 7 years ago, when we first went. They were made by an artisan in one of their shops. I love all of the bright tropical print bags, the flamingos, birds and other images that can take me to a tropical paradise ( in my mind)
Now, where is my Pina Colada?
As I mentioned, I am out of town visiting family, but the show will go on! Ill have the most clicked and pinterest pic next week, but will still enjoy seeing your spring looks! Its almost June!
Which is your favorite Karina dress style?
