03 Apr Turning Heads Linkup – Lilac Spring Outfit and Poshmark Deals

Hello Ladies!

Well, this weekend we had some sun in Charlotte! Since I took some days to recuperate from my NYC trip, I was then ready to get out of the house! I thought i would put use my new scarf from Charming Chariles with it’s blue, lavendar, pink and olive tones to use. I wanted to style an outfit around it, and knew my Ann Taylor dress, i had purchased from Poshmark, a few years ago, would go perfectly!

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter day. We had planned on having my sister’s family over, but my neice was sick. So, we spent a friday and Satr going out with the puppies and exploring some areas of our city. There was an event  Saturday at our local D9 brewery, with music, food trucks, and doggies.. Since i am not a beer drinker, my options are usualy “red” or “white’. This time, it was Chardonnay, or Malbec! Oooh, fan-cy!!

We took these pics with the sun out, as my hubby likes to get photos with the sun behind us as it shines down on my hair. I have had this dress for some years, and it is so easy to wear, I love to dress it up with additional layers and color. After i styled it with the scarf, I chose to wear one of my other favorite moto jackets. This is from Anthropologie, and the ruffle detail on the back, and quilted detail on the shoulder, caught my eye. I also love the teal color . i told you I had a thing for moto jackets, as this is what i wear often when its cold in Charlotte. The jacket is from Anthro, but i bought it also from Poshmark for a steal! Three items out of my outfit are all from Poshmark, where i have found some great deals! Speaking of Posh steals, this new Rebecca Minkoff bag was just the thing i was looking for. i came across it, as it was a similar style from the one that Amy and Cheryl have, although it is off white. i just couldn’t resist the braiding and the tassels! I got it for for $50 dollars shipped, and love a smaller bag sometimes, where things don’t get lost at the bottom of the bag.

I love to be able to take existing items in my closet, and create a new look. i really think that is what fashion is about, and how I can be creative.
