17 Mar The Luck of The Irish-Wearing Green for St Patrick’s Day-
Happy St Patrick’s Day!
I had to do a post. Red hair, fair skin, green eyes, Irish. These are some of the traits that make me part Irish. However, some Irish characteristics have eluded me. I do not like beer. Those of you that know me, or have been reading the blog, know that I LOVE wine. I could talk varietals and regions if you’d like, but beer..hmm, not so much! I try. I really do. My husband likes to try different beers and I enjoy the names of some, but the taste, I have yet to find one that I like. Not a fan of hoppy flavors or strong scents. I am not a meat and potatoes girl. I love seafood, fish and chicken. Potatoes are good, espcially sweet potatoes, but that is more Southern than Irish.

I used to tell my Dad he was a Pseudo-Irishman, as he when he would drink a beer, it would be Coors-Light and his face would turn a beet red! We would laugh at this! You heard me mention the Clancy Brothers, well, they were one of dad’s favorite Irish Groups.. and I can still hum the tunes from years ago. I am only sorry my Dad never got to see Ireland, as he wanted to go, be we told him it would be a long walk and swim, as Dad didn’t fly!
Well, when it comes to being Irish, I can say I do love the color green. Olive green, sage, emerald, pine green, are all of my favorites. Today I am wearing a jacket from Anthropologie and had to get the little buttons on the collar that have a resemblance to a clover , only not 4 leaf, but close enough! This sage green jacket I paired with a lace skirt from Ann Taylor, and floral shoes with jeweled embellishment on the top. Lastly, I added my vintage inspired emerald necklace , vintage earrings, and Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody in “Jungle”.
Enjoy your St Patricks Day, and either do a jig, have a green bagel or drink a beer for me! 🙂
Have a great day!
Jess XO

Posted at 10:02h, 19 MarchYou and Gibby are so adorable in green. After reading this, I can totally see the Irish in you even more. I always love green with your red hair. The bag and shoes are gorgeous and you have the prettiest statement earrings and brooches always.
I am a wine drinker too and in general I don’t like beer though every now and then I may drink a Corona. In Fall, I have found they have a few beer varietals that most people that are not beer drinkers and especially women would enjoy. There is a blackberry one, a vanilla one and a plum one I have tried and loved.
Don’t forget to link up with me on Thursdays pretty lady. The linkup is live below, you can still join it. Thanks, Ada.

Posted at 16:47h, 17 MarchHow cute that your dog let you “dress” him also!! You sure show off green to a great advantage! I never think to wear a jacket by itself—-I always think I need to have a shirt showing under it—thanks for this inspiration!! jodie

Posted at 13:44h, 19 MarchGlad you enjoyed my look. Yes, this was a jacket I felt I could wear solo, unless I am wearing low rise jeans , then a shirt is a must. Gibby doesnt mind the bandanas , we have a collection of them ! xo
