Mint Gingham Top with White Jean Skirt

women's gingham top

Hello friends!

Today I am here with a fresh new look for summer. I love the classic look of gingham, a print that never gets old. This linen gingham tank is making it’s debut on the blog today.

Goings On

After 2 weeks of medication trials and tribulations, I am feeling better and leveling out at the current dosage. Boy, it was tough. I have one more drop to get off the med, but will stay at the current dose for 3 months during the summer.

This has been a difficult time, and I don’t always talk about what is going on with the world, but it is frightening.

Thinking about George Floyd and paying respects and prayers to his family, as Charlotte this week held demonstrations and protests. Things have to change.

My Outfit

The gingham button down tank with the ties at the shoulder really caught my eye last year when I bought it. I see it worn with white jeans, white shorts, a denim skirt in the summer. The ties are a sweet detail that makes the top even more special. Gingham always reminds me of a summer picnic, and the white straw circle bag adds to that vibe as well.

Today I paired it with my white pencil skirt from NYDJ. I sized down to a 2 for fit.

My niece and sis bought me these hoop earrings, and boy do they go perfectly with this linen gingham top! She was excited to give them to me, as a get well gift, along with a card. It was lovely!

Strappy sandals are showing everywhere, and these Sam Edelman ones are just the thing I was looking for. Thin straps and a kitten heel make them stylish and easy to walk in.

My Niece and sis gave me these earrings that go so perfectly with this top!

Mango tank

NYDJ white pencil denim skirt ( I sized down )

Sam Edelman Strappy sandals

Join me tomorrow for TURNING HEADS TUESDAY!

Take care and stay Safe,

Jess xx

I’m glad you’re feeling better. It’s so scary when they can’t figure out what’s going on. And I love the green on you. 🙂

A super cute outfit, Jess! I am glad you are feeling better and don’t have to face the last step down for awhile. I’ve been thinking how hard this must be on your body – especially with the stress of everything else going on now.

Totally agree – for the sake of us all, but especially our black citizens systemic racism must be dismantled – starting with the police.

Jess, this green gingham is so darling! I love this top paired with your white denim skirt. What a beautiful summer look. And I agree with you…things need to change, for sure. We are going to completely be our own destruction if we don’t make changes.
