Monochromatic Olive Look with Texture and Print

Target women's sweater

Chunky sweaters are all the rage right now! I love the knit of this olive cardigan from Target I bought the other day when they had the buy one get one 50% off. The other sweater is a gift I have tucked away.

Outfit

I am wearing an XS in this chunky knit and Target has it in various colors such as- tan, purple( a magenta) and mustard gold. They are on sale at the moment too! The knit design, and long sleeves work well for me! I am wearing the cardigan as a top, but certainly can layer as it gets colder.

My LOFT camo jean were beckoning to be worn and I liked the combination of textured knit and camo. Loft no longer has these, but I found a similar pair on the Gap site. With monochromatic looks, texture and print can add to its interest and sophistication. I broke up the look a bit with this floral neck scarf in black , rust, olive.

Speaking of olive, I couldn’t find an olive gel nail color, so this pine green will have to do! I love dark rich shades like burgundy and pine green for Fall/Winter.

Life Lately-

I couldn’t quite make my last Friday’s post due to my health.  This week, I hope to do so!

I am going off a certain pain medication after 8 years of being on it. I won’t go into the “science of pain”, but I do know that my pain level can stay the same as a higher dosage, slowly titrating on the medication. My doc says my pain sensitivity is high, so it takes some tine to not feel like the pain and anxiety isn’t highly amplified. It does take some will and self-talk to be able to continue titrating down or off a pain medication, but I know if my pain is a daily 3-4 level, that is at a level in which can still function well. So, weeks after recovering from gallbladder surgery, I am now laying in bed due to this titration off a pain med. Needless to say, binge watching TV and reading has taken on a new meaning!

One show I have been binging has been ” The Haunting of Bly Manor”. It is another in a series of shows after “The Haunting of Hill House.” on NETFLIX not gory or particuarly scary, it weaves eeriness and a haunted tale that is quite entertaining. Creepy children always put me off kilter.

What else? I have been Christmas shopping on-line . That I can do laying in bed 🙂

HI Jodie! Thanks so much sweetie! Oh, I would love to see your camo jeans! I like these from Loft as they are a softer colored camo than some. Yours sounds pretty! 🙂

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with the pain of lowering your pain medication dosage. You know, I’ve never really been a fan of camo, but I like it with your olive sweater. Great look, Jess! Feel better soon!

I hope you feel better Jess and are able to get off that medicine comfortably. Love your olive cardigan, perfect with the camo pants. It was warm and windy this weekend due to hurricane Eta, I tried to wear a sweater but I ended up sweating so off it came. Fingers crossed the weather cools.
    Take care friend!!!

      Hi Kellyann
thank you! It is a tough week so far, it is probably peaking and will decrease in symptoms soon, i hope. It was weirdly warm here too this weekend. I prefer cool Fall air too. Glad you like the look, Target strikes again!
