01 Oct New Moto Jacket, Frame Denim and Leopard Love

Morning Friends

Let me first say, I am happy to be on-line and my blog tech issues behind me! Sometimes you don’t know what you are missing until it’s gone!

I am in Harleysville, PA visiting relatives and spending some time . My hubby and I went to my nephew’s Eagle Scout Ceremony and enjoyed seeing the kid’s projects and talking to my in-laws. We will be back to NC later in the week. I think I am getting to old for these long car rides, as I hear myself saying out loud, my hips, my glutes! … Fortunately we make a pit stop at my brothers in Springfield, VA and then the next day we make our way to PA. It is still 13 hours of driving.

I have been showing some transitional looks with Fall trends and colors, but I get a tad impatient, and decided I would share a few of my Fall purchases even if it was warm outside. There is finally a bit of a chill. Mother Nature needs to wake up! Fall is here, officially!   So, without further adieu, I bought this and only this moto jacket at the Norstrom Sale  this year., I loved the burgundy suede color and knew it would go with so much in my closet.. I am showing several looks this week with leopard, as I just love this fun neutral that works with everything! 

The Deals

I’ve been finding so many great deals thrift shopping lately via Poshmark and The Real Real. I will probably do another post about shopping on those sites. I was so excited to find this pair of FRAME denim, as I was lusting over this front slit style when it was on the Nordstrom site 2 years ago.  At the time, it was retailing for about $225 . Luckily, I found it on The Real Real for, get this, $50 shipped! Oh yeah! Part of the fun of shopping these sites is the “art of the deal”. Isn’t it fun to find something you wanted,  for so much less?

My Outfit- Leopard Love and New buys

I love the split leg detailing showing off the shoes or boots I might be wearing. in this case, this last year buy, my Zara leopard booties. Leopard is trending big time this year, and it is something I have a fair amount of in my closet already. I bought a few more pieces this year, as it is such a great neutral pattern, you can pair it with any color.

My favorite is the “Ruby” suede BlankNYC  moto jacket, it is really a rich burgundy shade, that I purchased from the Nordstrom sale this year. I have a thing for moto jackets. I love the additional pizzazz they give an outfit and can tone down a feminine look adding a bit of edge. The fit is excellent, as I can zipper or leave open wearing a light sweater, which is perfect for NC.  The jacket comes in a tan shade as well as an olive, but the olive jacket looked more brown on my computer. In the future, I may just do a post on buying a moto jacket, if my readers would be interested.

My thin, leopard sweater with lace neckline is a purchase from Loft many years ago. Its a fun style and the perfect weight for the Southern climate. I love dressing for Fall, as I find I can be more creative with layering, mixing prints and love textured looks as well. Don’t be afraid to experiment!

My Brahmin bag is one of my favorites. Brahmin makes so many great bags, and at terrific price points for a designer quality bag. I just loved the ladylike boxed shape and color and was excited to style it as well. This was a Christmas gift last year.

You will be seeing all of these pieces throughout Fall, as I finally have created a denim wardrobe that is comfortable, soft and that I enjoy wearing.

I will just make mention, I am thinking of doing a series once a month on Friday called- Shop Your Closet. I would love to style an item.. ie.. scarf, moto etc and use what is in my closet to style a look. Would love to have ladies send me their styled looks from their closet  for this Series. I’ll be talking about this on the blog soon. Let me know on the comments, if you would submit a photo for their series.
