03 Nov Olive Green
Ah, it is one of those mornings! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and … my pup is staring at me to get up and get him his meal!! Who is the owner here? Anyhow, he does keep me on a schedule and I decided to was a good morning to wear one of my favorite sweater dresses. You will learn over the course of the next several months, that I love sweater dresses, because they are like nightgowns, are as comfortable, and I think they look pretty swell. ( Always wanted to say “swell” ) ( Too much “Leave it to Beaver” as a child!)
A-Ten_HUT! I guess that is why I always think of the Army with olive green. Usually you think camo or olive green uniforms. Now repeat after me, in a sing-songy voice:
( As if we were blogger marching two by two in these army green dresses)
I DONT CARE WHAT PEO-PLE SAY! ( I DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY)
OLIVE GREEN IS HERE TO STAY! ( olive green is here to stay)
I DON’T CARE WHAT PEO-PLE DO! ( i DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE DO!)
WHO SAYS I LOOK GOOD IN BLUE? ( WHO SAYS I LOOK GOOD IN BLUE)
Sound off… one , two, sound off, three , four..
Ok. you get the idea, but I really do , love most shades of green, this one included. I tend to gravitate more toward emerald green or kelly green, but I do think many shades of green go well with other neutrals, like black, or in this case even brown. My closet is full of different colors, and yes, mostly I try to pick ones that look best with my hair and skin tone. In this case, I added some textural interest as well, with floral lace stockings. ( I am still hearing that army song in my head, after I mentioned the floral lace stockings) knee high boots, and quilted bag. The accessories compliment the color with various shades of green jewels.
Do you wear green? If so, what shade do you tend to wear most?
