Palm Print Dress- A Hot Trend for Summer

Hello Friends!

For those in the US, I hope you had a lovely 4th of July weekend.

It’s a week of Palm Prints on Elegantly Dressed and Stylish. I am a sucker for beautiful palm leaves and this week and sharing some of my styled looks with this very print.

Weekend Happenings

We had a nice weekend as we drove around different neighborhoods and looked at some homes here for my brother and sis in law.

They may be interested in moving here as well. While out, we were close to an authentic Italian restaurant and saw no one was sitting at the outdoor seating. Could have been because the real feel was 100 degrees! Well, we braved the heat and had a wonderful dinner , mine was eggplant parmesan with a crisp fresh glass of white wine. We chatted, the waitress wore a mask, and it was a spontaneous decision, but fun!

We tend to find these restaurants where no one is sitting out and have lucked out twice!

Took my boy, Gibson to the vet on Friday, and Truffles certainly had a plan! She hid in the back of the SUV as the vet came out to retrieve Gibson to take him inside for tests. As soon as the vet left, she jumped up into the bed in our car. She knew where we were and that cracked me up! What moral support for Gibby!

We celebrated the 4th with my sister and niece social distancing in the back yard, while we grilled some fancy burgers and salmon. It was a great day and meal. We do have to comfort my little Shih Tzu Truffles, as she is so terrified of fireworks. We just cuddle close to her, as we’ve tried everything else and the Thunder jacket did not work.

Outfit

This weekend we drove to Robbins Park, a beautiful park about 10 minutes from home. We took a walk there the other day, and I found it to be a perfect spot for photos. When we were in lockdown, we took many of the blog photos in front of the house, not being able to venture out, but now is the time and I couldn’t pass up this beautiful setting.

I am wearing a palm print dress in olive and the style is a 40s cut. I love adding straw bags to this print as it has a tropical feel. My Mango sandals in tan have been worn frequently this summer. The delicate necklace is one I recently purchased, as more of a day to day necklace.

Are you a fan of tropical prints?

Thank you Kellyann! Yes, things are up in the air due to Covid, but my mom is liking the area and wants to be near family. My sis in law and bro need a change. 🙂

I love being outside on our deck. We have to go first thing in the morning as it is sweltering hot outside in the afternoon! Thank you Carmen!

How fortunate to luck into the entire restaurant patio to yourselves. That dress is lovely and the color suits you so well. I really like the round shapes in your bag and earrings and the texture in both and your shoes. Have added the bag to my Amazon cart. Thank you for sharing the link.

We do get lucky! Both hubby and I work from home, so we can be flexible with our time and schedule. We tend to go during the afternoon between lunch and dinner and it has worked out well. Thank you! I love palm prints and this is one of my favorite . I am sure you will enjoy the bag!

I love your palm print dress. I’m really partial to anything that says tropical. I’m glad you found empty outdoor seating and were able to enjoy a meal out. We have eaten out twice since businesses reopened, both times outside. Ha! Truffles is a smart pup! I’m sorry she is so frightened of the fireworks. We have lucked out with Valentino. There is nothing laid back about our little guy. Some days every noise is a reason to sound the alarm, but the fireworks don’t bother him.

We have always enjoyed sitting outside to eat. Around here, people rarely do that due to the heat or whatever. So it’s always easy to find a seat.
I love the palm prints. I have been looking for a palm print bathing suit.
    Have a great week !

That dress is so beautiful on you and I just love the accessories you chose. How exciting that brother might move there as well. I think it is so nice to have everyone in the same area, especially as we get older. Family is everything!
