23 Jan Pantone Color of 2023- Viva Magenta

Wow. Brights. Something we need in Winter 2023. Pantone’s color of the year is Viva Magenta.

Viva Magenta

Pink has been popular in the past, with hot pink suits making their way onto the marketplace.  Viva magenta is a color that evokes an emotion, according to Pantone Institute is,

“ powerful, empowering, electrifying, boundaryless, audacious and inclusive.

“Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative,” . 

When it’s vibrant, it’s brave, and this color is just that. I think color is something we crave, certainly in the Winter months, as the greys, whites and barrenness of our surroundings, leave us feeling a bit empty.

We seek out color or brightnesss, at least I do, these times of year.

Vivid Magenta speaks to us in it’s boldness, directness, and ability to take charge.

You might wonder just how you would wear this in your wardrobe? Don’t see yourself in a bright pink tailored suit?

As what happens with every Pantone color, or color of the year, products in this color emerge, from cell phone covers, to hats, to blazers, to housewares and accessories.

Wearing Vivid Magenta

Feeling bold? This color is not only from the red family, but produces a similar emotion in its boldness.

Wear it as a jumpuit.

Wear a magenta wool coat for some color this season.

Buy a tailored look in head-to-toe magenta. Love this blouse!

Mix with pastels in the Springtime, to “cool ” it down.

Love the look with navy and other neutrals, especially grey.

You can certainly pair it with red, as a color blocked look. It stems from the red family, so make it stand out!

Accessories- buy a purse or a scarf in this beautiful shade and you have a pop of bright color.

No one can turn down a new pair of bright magenta shoes. Wear those with a black and white look for that extra special pop of bright pink.

All black and a pair of magenta boots, yes please!

Still not sure? You can always go the route of wearing a bold magenta lipstick. It will be flattering on so many skin tones and you can ” join the club” that way.

A beautiful monochromatic magenta outfit will turn heads.

Wear it as a silk cami underneath a neutral blazer and jeans.

Happenings

I won’t go into the nitty-gritty, but just say I had a recent set-back with my health.  It has to do with PF PT and now I have additional burning pain, which may take some months to subside, even with me doing downtraining. I just wanted to mention it to my readers, as there may be some weeks, I am not able to post or post as frequently.
