Pops of Red with an Animal Print Dress

Morning friends!

Is there such a thing as too much animal print? That was a rhetorical question!  Leopard print, cheetah print, zebra, are hot, hot hot for Fall and are here to stay! If you missed my post on Fall Trends for 2019, read the post HERE.

Weekend

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. So sorry about missing Friday’s post, I was especially exhausted after my Dry Needling session on Thursday. It takes me a day to recover.

Are you busy with any Fall festivals or events? This weekend we went to The Cottage, our local hangout with the dogs and later on Sunday we visited West Bend Vineyards to listen to music and just enjoy the atmosphere.

My Outfit

If you haven’t made the move into animal print, fear not! There are plenty of prints to choose from and the fact that it is a neutral print should excite you, not make you run for the hills.

I love the look of animal print as neutral and wearing neutral tones with it is one way to style. Pair this with a cream long cardigan, or go with a black moto jacket. However, if you want to add some “punch” to your look, I love the addition of some striking color with animal prints.

I am going to sound like a broken record here, but I bought this shirt dress with a twist on Mango, my go-to place as of this year. The dress has the ease of a shirtdress, but with a built-in waist tie that adds that extra detail. You can tie it however you like, tighter or a bit looser to show off the waist area, giving the dress shape.

I also love mixing animal prints and have done so with a different patterned scarf here. In another photo, I am wearing a Fall leaf necklace given to me by my brother one Christmas ago.

Red is one of my favorite combinations with leopard or cheetah, and that is what I decided upon for this look. Some geometric square beaded earrings from Amazon, a pair of pointed lace-up wedges, and my Prada bow bag that hubby bought me last year for  Christmas.

Changed out the leopard scarf for a leaf necklace my brother bought me from his workplace, The Smithsonian.

Are you an animal print fan? If so, which print do you prefer?

Dress -Mango ( sold out)

Earrings- Amazon

Gold cuff c/o Soft Surroundings ( similar style)

Red Marc Fisher heels- last season, simiilar without straps

Red handbag- Prada ( gift)

Have a wonderful Day!

Jess xx

Stopping by from the Thursday Fashion Files link up. Your pop of red caught my eye. What a great color to pair with the leopard. I can see why that shirt dress is sold out! Very cute and the twist gives it such a flattering fit. You look so put together. Love it from head to toe.

Hi Jess. I love this dress and especially with the red shoes and bag. It’s nice to see that some designers are still showing the above the knee style dresses, which are what I prefer. Thanks for sharing another great post, and I hope you are feeling better and more rested.

      Hi Christina,
I will wear lots of lengths of dresses but my favorite these days is this or midi dresses, just think they are classy! I appreciate the well wishes. The dry needling releases alot of toxins in the body and leaves me quite exhausted the day after, but it is worth it.

I have embraced the animal print trend with accessories: shoes, earrings and scarves. They are easy to incorporate that way. Love that pretty dress!

      Hi Andy!
I loved that detail too, changes it up from being just another shirt dress, and accentuates the waist more. I will check again on the site, but when I looked last night it wasn’t there. I was bummed as I wanted to be able to list the link! If it changes, I will post it! Happy Monday!
