Bright Yellow Is In This Spring

Lots of bright colors this Spring! There is bound to be a favorite in the mix, as yellow, kelly green, hot pink, primary blue and hot orange make their way into retailers this Spring and are showing on the fashion runways.

Yellow, a color that invokes happiness, illumination and a cheerful energy really is one of my favorites.  I love different shades of yellow, but often opt for a mustard yellow.

This Spring, the brights have it! Bright yellow is popular and making its way into the Spring wardrobes. Need a mood boost? Give it a try!

This blouse, from Ann Taylor, last year’s collection, caught my eye with it’s flutter sleeves and bright yellow floral print. It is complimented by the gingham lemon scarf, also from Ann Taylor.  Neck scarves ( small square) are among my favorite way to “jazz up” a Spring or Summer look as I will often choose a scarf over a necklace in the Spring for that reason.

Mustard yellow is one of the yellows that is wonderful for fair skin, but this bright yellow is broken up a bit with the white in this blouse and works as well. Soft butter yellows can looked washed out on fair skin, so you may want to choose a different shade.

If you aren’t keen on yellow for an outfit, but love the brightness and joy that yellow brings, try an accessory for Spring .A great yellow bag,  scarf , or shoes can add just a touch and perhaps just what you needed!

I am wearing my one and only blue jean skirt from Loft, bought a few years ago. It is one of those staples that I wear throughout the year, but particularly in the Spring.

Happenings

I am sorry I did not post on Friday, I have been in a bit of a “funk” with what is going on in the world and had a hard time preparing a post for Friday.

We did go out on the weekend to Daveste Vineyards where we listened to a U2 type band, had Irish fare, and enjoyed some wine. ( I am not a beer drinker) .The wind on the other hand, made it impossible for vendors to keep their canopies up and I thought the pups were going to be lifted like “shih tzu balloons” as it got to be 30mph gusts!   On another note, we have been waiting for the weather to cooperate to sand and stain our deck. It is tough in the Spring sometimes to get 3 days in a row of sunshine with no rain; it certainly takes patience!
