I know this skirt is familiar. A gold straight pencil skirt I wore last week. I wanted to do a remix with other textures and prints. In my closet, I have this perfectly matched monochromatic chunky sweater I wanted to wear to create this look. You are going to have to excuse the hair. It is rainy, humid, and for me, damp hair is about as bad as “bed head”. So I just cropped my head out for this set, next time, a hair bun should do the trick!
I usually wear more form fitting sweaters, but this chunky knit, with the style on the sleeves and perfect mustard color was just right for some of the colder days here in Charlotte. I have been dying to wear my leopard coat. THis was a great discovery on Ebay, I found for $25 dollars. It is so soft and comfortable, and known as a swing coat, a style more prominant from the 50s-60s. The style is according to the Oxford dictionary,”A coat cut so as to swing when the wearer moves.” You all know I LOVE swing MUSIC, so I have to have a swingin’ coat!
When I wear it and lay it on the bed, my boy pup, Gibby has to lay on it. I wonder if he thinks it is another dog! Or he is jealous as he is very close to mommy. Ha! The woven textures of the sweater, monochrome look, takes one attention away only to look at the fur leopard texture of the coat and tweed of my new brown kitten heels.
Just tryin to stay warm today on a chilly day here in Charlotte.
Enjoy your day,
