Happy Friday Ladies,

Today I have the results of the EDS Reader’s Survey. Your voices have been heard!

It was very interesting and eye-opening to read your goals for 2022, what content you want to see more of and some thoughts on aging.

Let’s take a look.

Readers

Most of my readers are from the USA at 73%, the UK at 9.1%, England, Canada, Italy and other were all 3% respectively.

The largest age group at 39.4% was the 55-64.  Ages 45-54 made up 33.3% , ages 65-74 at 21.2% . There was also a reader at age 78, and a few at ages 35-44.

Goals for 2022

I always love hearing about other women’s goals for the year. There was a variety of interesting goals –

• Declutter closets and learn more about fashion and style was a repeating theme.
• Living your best life with certain medical conditions.
• Grow the You Tube channel.
• Spend more time to relax and enjoy life
• Enjoying nature
• Pare down the closet and dress for ones self.
• Eat well and be healthy
• Look more polished don’t become frumpy
• Lose weight
• Travel
• Marathon

I loved reading that women were interested in decluttering their closet, add basics and make more out of what they have to wear. Women were also focused on living their best life to the fullest and keeping healthy.

Topics on EDS BLOG

The topic that women were interested in the most were the “How to Wear Posts.” at 85%. I certainly enjoy putting together posts that make it easier for you to think about “How would I style this velvet vest?” or ” How to Pattern Mix”.

Ladies, at 63.6 % would like to read more midlife topics pertaining to them. Topics such as menopause, aging, staying relevant, health.  My Friday posts tend to address more of these topics as a change up from the fashion posts.

Sustainable fashion and casual outfits were also of interest at 60% Other ladies would like to know what clothes would look best on their shape. ( 57%)

Thoughts on Aging- Fears

To the question- Are you fearful about aging?

68.8% said that no, they plan on growing old gracefully. 25% said they were afraid and 9.4 responded with other.

I do hope to address this in an upcoming post, as my thoughts can waiver and it is an interesting discussion. I do hope you will provide your insight!

Fashion Concerns

75% of the respondents said that they want to look fashionable but dress casually.

I think this says certainly a lot about our lifestyles now, and what has changed with Covid. Many are still working from home and have a more casual lifestyle. You can certainly look put together, but dress casually. So.. I hope to bring you more posts with a casual influence:-)

15% said they weren’t sure how to style clothes. I will certainly help with that!

12.5 % have a harder time finding clothes that fit their shape.

There were some answers that were (other) such as :

• Wanting to look stylish no matter my age and lifestyle
• impact of fashion on the environment
• Finding the colors that look best on me

What is Your Style?

This was an open comment box, so it was fun to see. These were just some of the examples. It looks like there are a wide range of styles out there! Bravo ladies. I say, wear it with confidence!
