The Ruby Karina Dress in Plum and Pantone’s Color of the Year

Morning Ladies!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was busy with more decorating, and my plan to take pictures of us ( me, my hubby, Gibby and Truffles, all in our “Ugly’ sweaters!) So, do stay tuned for that post. The pup’s sweaters are more “cute’ than ugly, but if you have seen the recent batch at Target for pups, they do live up to the name, woah!

Today I have styled one of my favorite style of Karina Dress, the RUBY. I love the 3/4 sleeves and the faux wrap style. This is so flattering on all figures and of course I went for the jewel tone-rich plum. Jewel tones are really great to wear any time of year, but i love them for the Holidays. Reds, Golds, Emerald.. You know i love rich colors!

Karina Dresses are so comfortable, they offer styles for every body type, and I always pack them for travel. Soon, we will be headed to Harleysville, near Philly, and i know I will pack one or two dresses as there is no ironing involved! I will be sharing some of our Holiday festivities on the blog and INSTAGRAM.

I have added my favorite purple vintage brooch, vintage earings, and a teal vintage inspired necklace. My little jacquard floral bag adds some additional color and texture. I am also wearing some patterned tights as i love to do this time of year. For some faux-fur fun, and because leopard has become an obsession as of late, I am wearing my cropped leopard jacket I bought on Poshmark. I have this style and a swing coat in leopard.

Just FYI, the Color of the Year for Pantone 2018 is ULTRA VIOLET, OR PURPLE!  so, it looked like I was “ahead of the game” without knowing it! I chose this color as I do love this rich shade, but at the time wasn’t aware of the Pantone choice for the year. I will be doing a seperate post on this color after the New Year.

Have you tried Karina Dresses? Check out their HOLIDAY COLLECTION!

Are you a fan of the Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2018? Do you prefer it over “Greenery”? from this year? More on this topic after the holidays!

Oh Jess, I remember seeing this jacket and bag on your Instagram. I love both of them so much. I think that will be on of my style challenges for 2018-to get a type of leopard jacket. Thank you for linking up. You always have such brilliant ideas about combining new with 2nd Loved. xox Terri

Thanks so much Terri! I would certainly suggest Poshmark to buy yourself a leopard jacket.I bought 2 on there. This short jacket and a slightly heavier faux fur leopard swing coat.I do use the bag quite frequently too! xx

Oh I so love that color dress. And it looks especially great on you. Compliments your hair color. The tapestry bag is also gorgeous. And that faux leopard jacket looks stunning. I wouldn’t have thought of pairing that violet shade with leopard, but it really works. I love this whole outfit, including your vintage jewelry choices!

Thank you Theresa! It was a choice between green (olive) and this purple. the green sold out, so it was easy to pick! I do love jewel tones. So glad you love the whole look. i have to look at Etsy this year again, as my vintage jewelry is from there. Happy Holdiays! xx
