Summertime White Look with Tenth Street Hats

Hi friends,

I am now recouperating from our beach vacation, as it will take a few days of rest to compensate for the fun I had! ( as well as the 12 hour drive)  My photographer hubby took these pictures before we went to Avalon, NJ and this hat gifted to me by Tenth Street Hats went with me as well as this white linen dress.

I will be sharing pictures from our beach vacation, soon, as all of us siblings took photos. There were many of “firsts” for me, and I’ll tell you about that in the upcoming post. Had a great time!

My Beach Dinner Summer Outfit

I always have loved all white looks with some neutral accents, and I began with the Camilo hat from Tenth Street Hats as my inspiration. I wanted a wide brim sun hat, and this hat has 50SPF protection, as well as it being adjustable. I just loved the glamour of it and the combination of white and natural which will compliment any summery look. It came in handy at the beach, as I went nearly every day and the sun was hot, but there was often a wonderful breeze.

I am wearing this high-low hemmed white linen shirtdress from Chicos, bought last year. This specific dress is not available, but I have linked up other white gauze, linen or cotton dresses below.  I mainly wear linen and cotton here in the summer, as breathable fabrics are the way to go in the Southern Summer heat.  I styled it with my Sarah Flint 60 Perfect block heel, straw handbag, you have seen multiple times, a silk snakeskin scarf for pattern, and topped off with the Tommy Bahama Sun hat. I loved the wide brim.

The hat also has a pretty pineapple detail .

Neutral Accessories and Sarah Flint Perfect Block Heel

The Sarah Flint block sandals are a wonderful neutral and the most comfortable sandals I own. I love the padded foot bed. They will go with anything!

So try combining an all white look with neutral details or accessories. It will always be a classic and stylish look.

Stay tuned for vacation blog posts, provided I am back in action and not needing another’s days rest!

Had to do an “artistic” photo with this fabulous hat!

I had to have colors of the sea and sky for my pedicure and manicure 🙂 and wear my fab Sarah Flint block heels!

Elegance personified. My gosh, you look so pretty. What a perfect summer dress!! And that hat and bag. You accessorized that simple shirt dress and took it to a whole new level. Love the artistic photo so much. Pinned it!! You look like a modern-day version of Daisy from The Great Gatsby. Divine!!

Your family looks like wonderful people. We used go live nearish to NJ — I wish we’d known to go to this beach.

I love the kids and the kayaking. I’ve done kids, but I haven’t done kayaking yet, but really want to.

Who takes care of the pups while you’re gone. Before Covid, I was a 14 year family travel writer. And finding good pet sitters was tricky.

Hi Wendy, if I didn’t have shoulder and back muscle problems, kayaking would have been more fun! We took the puppies with us, as we had the downstairs suite and it was away from everyone ( great for dogs barking). Typicaly our neighbor down the street will watch them.

Thank you Gwen! I just love this hat and the wide brim I think is always elegant. I appreciate you stopping. I live in linen and cotton in the summer here!
