I am not in the habit of telling ladies what they should or shouldn’t wear. I feel that women can wear what they love, if they feel confident and happy . Swimsuits should be no different. SwimSpot contacted me about showing you some of their summer pieces and I was happy to do so!
I have several bikinis but I also love a great one piece for a classy and stylish beach look.
The Ella Shirred Mallot
Heading to the pool or beach this summer? This Ella Shirred one piece will be going with me on vacation this Friday. We are going to be gone for a week, and I can’t wait. Need a change in atmosphere! Our family is renting a beach house and I have been thinking of what I will be packing.
This suit and coverup will be going with me!
Of course the color caught my eye straightaway, and I liked the one piece style with ruching. It is lined and is quite soft.
From the Swim Spot website-
“Flaunt your features in this sophisticated and flattering one-piece by Athena. A plunge neckline at the bust creates a flirty effect, while supporting you just enough. Shirring across the torso creates a slimming fit. A long standing best seller the Ella Shirred Maillot swimsuit will be the staple piece in your collection for this year and longer.”
Shirring across the torso conceals the midsection for a slimming fit.
Removable Soft cups support the bust
Chic adjustable shoulder straps create a flattering fit for different torso lengths
Moderate rear coverage
Built-in tummy control
Hand Wash Cold, Non-Chlorine bleach (if necessary), Air Dry – Do not iron or dry clean
85% Nylon, 15% Elastane
Crochet Poncho Coverup
This beautiful white crochet poncho caught my eye instantly. With its beautiful crochet and lace, along with the pompom details at the trim, I knew it would make a great addition to my beach wear. It is substantial, made very well, and of course I love white in the summer. This coverup is one size fits all and hints at the swimsuit underneath.

They are a Southern California family run company led and designed by women for women. I love that! They would know what we want in a swimsuit! 🙂
They have a variety of one piece, tankinis and bikinis.
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend going to lunch at one of our favorite places in the Lake Norman area, Port City Club, over looking the lake. I am one that could eat seafood every day, and enjoyed a delicious Chardonnay with mahi mahi tacos.
We also went to our Raptor center and I will share pictures on IG Stories of the many birds we saw. We did see the Barred owl, which is an owl we have here in our woods behind our house. He likes to recite Shakespeare! Get it? “The Bard owl”? No, but they make a sound that is described in rhythm, “Who Cooks for You” .( who-hoo-hoohoo)
We also went to a local Farmers market and picked out some delicious fruits and veggies, along with some honey walnut goat cheese. I am either going to make a goat cheese beet salad, or make grilled peaches with honey walnut goat cheese.
Are you a one piece kinda gal or do you prefer a two piece or tankini?
Outfit ** c/o I was gifted the swimsuit and coverup for this review. All opinions are truthful and honest.
