Review of ColdWater Creek Serenity Colored Dress with Vintage Inspired T-Strap Shoes
Hello LadiesI hope you all had a great weekend and Happy Easter. .We went to a Vineyard, took the puppies and had a good time. There are a few that allow dogs, and we try and take advantage when it is nice outside. Service was great, as was a new grape, Chambourcin, a dry red varietal that is becoming more popular here. All was well, except for a few overly intoxicated women wanted to dog-nap my puppy Truffles. That is another story for another time. Easter made me think of all of the traditions in our family; Mass, Blessing the Baskets, getting together and I think hunting for Easter Baskets until we were about 25. Ha. Easter also reminds me of Spring, and today I am reviewing an talking about my dress from Coldwater Creek. When Coldwater Creek approached me about reviewing an item on their site, I was excited as it was a familiar shop and I knew they had some lovely clothes. I was to choose two items from their site and they would send one. I initially chose this lilac blazer with all its embroidered style I thought would look wonderful adding a pretty pastel to white, a gorgeous spring shade to a dress , plenty of options. However, since this was unavailable, I chose to no surprise, a dress! Looking at their on-line site I fancied several dresses, such as the Table for Two dress, accentuating the waist and a staple piece. I also liked the printed Lavender Fields dress that was longer which I thought would look smashing for a wedding or just out for an afternoon lunch. However, the Floral Mesh Knit Dress caught my eye, in a periwinkle or "serenity' color, I liked the vertical lines in the style of the dress, adding length and giving a lean look to the wearer. The mesh material made the dress very comfortable to wear and also light for warm weather. The pattern was subtle, tiny flowers with stems made the dress look delicate as does the length and flow of the dress. The fit was quite good, if not a little loose, and I am wearing an XS. I would also recommend a heel, albeit small or higher to give the legs length, continuing with the vertical line. Flats may be fine, but it may also look to shorten the legs as the dress comes inches past my knee. ( But I am 5 foot 9) I also HAD to share my new fancy footwear with you too! I loved the vintage look to these B.A.I.T shoes, as I love a pretty t-strap and the lavender color caught my attention for spring. Since they have a tiny wedge, they are do-able for me and fun to wear. Perhaps I will wear this outfit to my next Lindy Hop! :)
