The Ecco Sneakers I Will Take Traveling

Today I am sharing the leather sneakers I will take on our trip this fall, as comfort and style is paramount when walking in Europe.

The Ecco Sneakers I Will Take Traveling

Enter the Ecco Soft 9 II sneaker.

This is the one thing I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I had been searching for dressier leather sneakers for traveling and ones that would pass the walking all day test.  I had heard great things about the brand, Ecco, but really didn’t want to drop $170 for their Soft 7 sneaker. If you are one that owns fewer shoes and do alot of traveling, it may be worth it to you. My mom does not own many shoes, as she has bunions and other foot issues, so she has bought the Ecco slip on and it is worth it for her.

I did want to try this brand since it is listed on every travel blogger’s site, as a brand or sneaker to wear if you are traveling and going to be doing a lot of walking.

I also think about the multitude of stairs that we may encounter on the Almalfi Coast and Positano.

Plus, it also gave me a reason to buy this fashionable and comfortable sneakers. Who can say no to new shoes anyway 🙂

It also comes in black and white.

I wrote about the 10 Things I Bought for our European Trip, and these shoes were one of them.

I was drawn to:

  • The brand is known as a comfort brand for shoes.
  • Listings on many travel blogs as a brand for travel and walking long distances.
  • love the thicker platform sole adding to the cushioning and height
  • the olive leather would be a great neutral to wear with anything in the Fall.
  • I can choose the cushioning (which is nice) or add an orthotic for added support/cushion.

Here are the details

“Full-grain leather shapes a flexible sneaker with a padded collar and a chunky sole with FLUIDFORM Direct Comfort Technology for daylong support.”- website.

A Casual Look

I wanted to style a cool but casual look today with these Ecco sneakers today. Sneakers are being worn with dresses, trousers, jeans, joggers and more these days  Because of the color, they will transition nicely into Fall. I picture one of my Fall plaid blazers with jeans, a tee, and these sneakers. The leather sneaker amplifies a look over the traditional gym sneaker.  I’d love to get a cashmere lounge set to pair with these too.

Today, however, I styled my XCVI white shirred leggings with a flowy olive top by LOFT (that I bought secondhand on Poshmark). I kept it casual with my white straw bag and added a touch of floral with my resin earrings.

It’s hard to believe it is already August and we are two months away from our trip. Looking at our stay, we have to get tickets to the Colloseum, Vatican, and train tickets to Pompeii and Florence. I’ve been watching Stanley Tucci’s show “Searching for Italy” on CNN. It is wonderful series that takes you on a journey with Mr. Tucci (should I call him Stanley?) sharing some of the towns and historic dishes that are found there. Warning! Don’t watch with an appetite!

It may have influenced my hubby, as over the weekend he made Cacio E Pepe, ( so creamy and good, not to mention few ingredients.) It means cheese and pepper.

Here is the recipe

We do have a 4 day trip to Asheville as well, in September, so I will take them then as well to try them out.

Do you have a pair of stylish comfort sneakers you recommend or like for traveling? Let me know in the comments?

Such a fabulous look, Jess! I am familiar with the Ecco brand. I bought a pair of leather Ecco boots from Poshmark. I love them! So stylish and comfortable. Your trip to Italy will be here before you know it. When you are in Asheville, will you have time for us to get lunch?

I have heard great things about ECCO shoes. These will be perfect for your trip in Europe. There’s so much walking to do there and you are right about bringing comfy shoes. The color of this is perfection too. It will go with so many pieces in your wardrobe as I find this shade of green to be a neutral.
